Here is an undated vid i made of the quick connect razan rebuilds i made. I was going to try to dig up the old topic, but decided to just start a new one.

I think that is cool, and they look awesome, very well done... what I don't understand is the point ^_^ (not that everything NEEDS a point by ANY MEANS).

Because he can disconnect/connect handles easily, he doesn't have to build the actual hose part every time he wants to build a new handle. He can just build a few hoses, then all the handles he wants.

haha, thanks guys...ya ill either try to build more and sell them (no profit motive, just recover my costs) or i will make a video on how to build them...or both.

I guess it would probably be a good idea to patent, but i don't really know how. and the reason i like these is like others have said, i can focus on handles instead of hoses....plus the clear tubing ive been using is a bit more stiff than i care for. Why change out the handles? because its fun? lol, no really, i just think its cool to be able to change things up a bit and not smoke out of the SAME handle every time. Plus, like i said in the vid, helps keep germ spreading down....im not a big fan of using those plastic tips, they are way to constrictive for the most part (or at least the ones i have seen)

Plus, if you watch my first video on these, the main reason i even did this in the first place is because KBB (you know him as BBKakes on here) put up a challenge a long time ago....said he would ship a busted razan to the first person to pay for shipping as long as they rebuilt it and provided pics/video. So, i decided to take the challenge and this is what i came up with. he send me the red one first and liked what i did to it so he sent me the black one second to give me another shot at it....the black handle middle part (the swirly part) is actually the fake leather part off a razan....just modified a bit....or a lot :P

That's dope man, what are you using the core of the pipe as? I would love to build a few of my own xD

I have a day off today I can take apart an old Razan Hose and see, I am just tired of the grommets for the tips not staying in or hoses with non removable tips etc. Plus the sweatband, I like it man

thanks. KBB (BBKakes on here) a long time ago had a challenge...told me he would send me a busted razan for 10 bucks ( i think was) if i would rebuild it and post pics. He sent me both a red one and a black one. I think the black one turned out a lot better , i used narbish tips for that one because the black tip was broke and i haven't figured out how to fix it yet. I would superglue, but my superglue is toxic and i don't want to take the chance of inhaling the stuff when smoking.

I use 3/4" PVC piping for the core and just found various connectors that worked. I keep meaning to start making more or post a vid on how to do this, but time is hasn't been on my side....plus these take a long ass time to do and i don't think many people have the patience to watch a video that long and i don't know how to edit videos....i would write up a how to, but i tried explaining just part of it to a guy in chat last night and it was really hard to explain without showing. im kinda wanting to buy some more busted razans or narbishes and fix em up and send em back out, but i don't think too many people have them and im not sure time would be on my side anyway.

I work 10+ hour days usually but I do have the time to do it and I would make a few myself, they seem to never be reliable anyways, If I can figure a good way to make some of my own, i mean I am sure I could find that material they use but the PVC for the core of the handle seems to be sturdier anyways. As long as I can fit custom tips in and out it would be perfect. I am guessing hot glue or something else to hold the grommets in etc? The Quick connect idea I did think about but you have had the motivation. I did electrical for a while and they have some quick connect options but I would try to make everything brass for the connect i guess.

the only glue on the entire handle is a little on each end of the pvc on the outside to hold on some of the connector pieces and then a little spot to hold the end of the yarn in place. honestly, neither of these are necessary. I have made handles with NO glue and they work perfectly. the glue i use is cheap shitty dollar store superglue. the only reason i even bother putting it on is for extra precaution. i don't use any glue on the gasket for the tip if that is what you are talking about. i just put the gasket on the tip and stick it in. i like the tips being removable...makes for easier traveling...especially because the damn things break so easily.
