shalowlow
Ok, so I know there are a lot of IT guys and gals around here, so I need some help. I am currently a verizon dsl customer, and it just simply does not work. The signal cuts off all the time, and everytime I need to go on the internet i need to reset the darn modem. Its an intermittent connection problem and although I usually am able to find answers on line, there seems to be no answer to this problem. Verizon technical support will only "test the line" for 24 hours and tell me that my internet is fine. I don't understand why they cannot send someone over to check the problem, but either way, I will hopefully be canceling them and try to get my money back for the past 4 months. So the question is, am I pretty much stuck here with verizon when it comes to DSL? I live in Marina Del Rey, CA (90292) and I just can't seem to find any info on what other options I have. I know I can get cable but I already have Directv and I don't want to switch. All other options seem like they are business related only. Does anyone have any suggestions? Even about my Verizon problem before I cancel? Any wireless providers that don't cost an arm and a leg you can suggest? Thanks guys!
Arcane
unless you have to use the same coax cable outlet, i don't see a reason why you can't have DirectTV and a cable modem... ummm...other than that, the only thing i can think of is the wirelss PCMCIA card from Sprint or something...but, that won't be at the speed you'd probably want...
