ksayre
Long time hookah lover, first time poster. The unthinkable happened a few weeks ago, after reading all the horror stories of broken bases and broken hookahs, my hookah fell victim to the friend tripping on the hose. It was a pretty nice hookah, a KM 36' 1 hose hookah my girlfriend bought as a gift for me. I'm tempted to buy a similar if not the same hookah, but you know, when these things happen you kind of feel obligated to change. It was a very nice improvement to the Mya Pumpkin style hookah I used before it. An insane improvement to the who knows what kind hookah I first smoked. Luckily being home for the holidays I enjoyed my brother's hookah, so I wasn't forced into the purchase right away. He's gone now so I'm looking for insight on my next purchase. I think I'm ready for a change though, I love tall hookahs, and I'll probably buy a 1 hose hookah, seeing as I usually smoke with few people, or play video games/work while smoking, so holding a hose isn't really something I want. I don't want to really deal with screw in hose attachments. I prefer welded, as my Mya gave way to leaks pretty early, causing me to tape up the base. My price cap is about $200, and there are no hookah stores (reliable hookah stores) around my area, so it will be ordered online. Anyone in serious love with their hookah choice? I loved the KM, was impressed with Mya, so I was thinking of another KM. Any suggestions would be great.
thehelios
The Mya Mini acrylic has been my most favorite and used hookah ever. I'm always at school smoking with friends and the portability is key. For a full size hookah, my brass serpent wins even though I use my 4 hose MZ sometimes. Stuie
Sucks on your experience with Mya. Never had that myself. Hookah-Shisha has a lot right now http://www.hookah-shisha.com/c-522-khalil-mamoon-hookahs.html Hookah John has a good selection http://hookahjohn.com/category.sc?categoryId=8 Plus the Guru Series oh HJ, you could pickup 2-3 on your budget. http://hookahjohn.com/category.sc?categoryId=25 Hookah Company has some pears and a couple Hafas http://hookahcompany.com/all_hookahs_37_ctg.htm#filterValuesRequest,filter_id_118=114|
antouwan
I love KMs BUT... i just got in my Temsah Shakil and i must say, it is a beast. The stem is heavy with a copper downstem all the way through and heavy brass finishes outside. The ports are comparably sized to that of KMs and possible better. The construction is better than all of the stainless KMs i've seen and on par with the two KM trimetals i've seen & from what i read on here. It smokes wonderfully. i just bought the stem and snagged a base locally for 15 bucks and threw an old hose i had on it. i've had bad experiences with Temsah hoses and would recommend a KM or narbish if you're into washables. hhttp://hookahcompany.com/32_shakil_temsaah_argile_4303_prd1.htm
Sonthert
Newer Thamsehs with brass tubes are good. Some are a little clanky in the manufacturing and finishing (especially around the taper)...but good. If Thamseh could make a brass hookah with a Khalil Maamoon taper finish, the universe would be in perfect alignment. Don't put your hookah on a table. Put it on the floor. We've only had 4 broken vases in 7 years here, just by putting them on the floor. All 4 breakages were from cleaning or prep mishaps, too. Nobody has ever broken a jar in my lounge during smoking.
