rahl071
Hey guys, I recently got a couple of Mya hookahs, and anyone who's owned one knows that the bowl's insides are unglazed; Is there any way to really clean this? I've tried good old fashioned elbow grease, a hot water soak, etc. I still have residue despite my best efforts. Help? Note: I'd prefer if your methods were available in a dorm room; I don't have anything like a dishwasher to work with. Amn_sinclair
i havent been able to find anything to get them back to their original white but imo it adds character to the bowl.
rahl071
Hah, yeah. it's just a thin film kinda, nothing that's damaging the flavor or anything. Thanks though, hell there may not be a way. I'll probably order a glass bowl from Crown at the end of the month anyway, but it was worth a shot.
Stuie
Mya bowls will never look new after they are used because they are unglazed. But to remove ghosting and to lighten the stains.... a bit (and I say that with reluctantly) Boil them. Get some water boiling drop it in for about 10-15 seconds pull it out with some tongs repeat a couple of times. Should be good.
