Pimping Out My Km

ok im making a new trey for my km tri metal

the top is the stock trey the middle is the trey im making (yes its copper) and the bottom pic is both together for size comparison

(the trey im making is not polished all the way yet and still looks kind of nasty but im putting a mirror polish on it tonight and still have to hit the hole with my dremal to debur it.

ill post better pics when im finished

(also im working on making a copper base for it as well not sure i can get it right tho)

well next i have planned a copper base for it. I have one of those big ass aluminum drinking bottles that my stem fits perfect on and im going to use that to line it. solder the two together so it looks like a big copper base on the outside but actually only has the small aluminum bottle to fill.

then im going to try to work on a hose. im going to keep the same mouth piece as in the pics but make the hose leather with fringe (kind of like billy jacks coat if your old enough to remember that movie) with copper sliver and turquoise inlaid into it.

I am not digging the two trays at once lol. Other than that, nice work!

well the two treys are just to give a size comparison for the new trey so ppl can see how much bigger it is than the stock trey.

The size of the tray you made, is about the same size as the extra large km trays that usually only come with ice bucket KM's.

i actually like the two trays together, i vote solder them together. very nice looking hookah btw. good luck on your endeavors.

i have an idea on a hose. when i get back to school ill experiment and see if it works, ill let you know if it does.

now six hours later and im almost done with the front (still needs a little work)

and i still need to hit the center hole with the dremal to smooth it out and even it up a bit.

...Ahem, i think this is an awesome project, it blends that whole yellow/white theme together very well, and also accents whatever you have as the color of your base!
Keep it up, cause its lookin good!
