Does A Km Stem Fit In Mya Vase

Will a KM stem (namely the guru ones that john sells at his website) fit into a Mya base that has a 1.5 in diameter opening?

If it will not, can anyone point me to a vendor that would sell a variety of Mya replacement stems?

EDIT: the base is also 9.5 in in height, if that makes a difference Edited January 11, 2010 by LZ22

if I remember right...I think the KM stems that John has are too wide for a 1.5 opening

had the same problem when looking for a replacement stem for my Sahara Cyclone vase

I agree with above poster, if the opening to a mya base is 1.5", if i remember correctly, km stems are 1.75" in diameter.

I did however manage to fit my my km into a syrian base, which is a tad bit smaller then the given bases with default KMs.

Well the biggest problem you're going to face is the down stem. The opening isn't the problem if the down stem is too long. I've had KM down stems go anywhere from 9-10.5 inches.

Mhmm..
I doubt you can find a gasket that will allow you to fit a 1.5" diameter.

You'll most likely have to buy an Egyptian bell, Syrian jar (Phan had to replace his gasket on his KM OG Tri to get his to fit in his 26 Gauge Syrian jar and it fits very snug), or a 26 Gauge Bohemian jar in order to use the stem, a Mya base will not suffice.

Actually the MYA was free and at the time of purchase I didn't have the option of a KM. But to be fair I only have 1 MYA and I have 7 KMs
