Largest Hookah You'Ve Heard Of?

So I work at a hookah lounge in Clearwater, Florida and about a month and a half ago I had this guy who serves in the Army stroll in to buy some AF. We got to talkin and turns out he's spent the last 8 months in Baghdad Iraq. He asked me what the largest hookah I've come across was which wasn't really anything spectacular at three feet.

He kinda laughs and says while in the heart of Baghdad once day he came across a [b]twenty-seven foot tall[/b] hookah with a bowl that fit an easy three kilos. I was freaking blown away; but I suppose if your going to find it anywhere that would be it. Funny thing? He said it only one hose.


Now I know I've got no proof and hell neither did he, but just for the sake of interest, what's the most impressive device you've come across?

Same, pretty freaking big but a bit overkill. Can't imagine the draw on that thing.

I saw this in the gallery part of the forums. I really dont see the point of these big ass pipes, unless the person is rich and buys it just to show off and say to his friends "mines bigger then yours noob"

And also, the hookah I posted above less than half the height is an actual hookah. the big blue thing is a lamp, and the actual vase is above that. So, the draw probably wouldn't be terrible.

i went and checked that out in hollywood and it as pretty cool i guess, it was "out of order" at the time but i cant imagine being functional.

i've heard of this hookah in baghdad, from friends coming back from deployments there. all the storys i've heard about it said around 13 feet tall though. so either there are 2 large hookahs in baghdad or this army cat was full of crap lol

Legends run around the Middle East like dust storms. Ask a Middle Eastern person where hookahs were invented...or alternately, where the Tomb of Eve was and when it was destroyed and by whom. See how many answers you get.

How would you even heat that? Even if you covered the top of the bowl in coals- it seems hard for the heat to go more than an inch or two into the shisha to heat it correctly?
