newjacksm
Any significant difference? The faucet water by me is pretty chlorinated. I am going to use filtered water in my session right now to see if i notice a difference.
jeremyk
dude not knocking you n anyway but having traveled around the world and seen people getting their drinking water from ditches and polluted rivers or lakes we should be happy with either or i think as americans we take too much for granted

Sonthert
I did find that heavy, hard well water does negatively impact a smoking session years ago. It may make a small difference. Psychologically, it will probably be the biggest impact. You'll think it does because your looking at it, observing it. Re:Hawthorne Effect, Heisenberg Observer Effect. Arcane
i notice differences between my tap water and my friends tap water...his tap water tastes little of chlorine, mine is very chlorinated... if you're smoking a little flavor, i can detect something different...but, it's not significant....or necessarily bad... ryno
I'm not too particular about my hookah water. I actually used water from a creek one time when I was out smoking in the middle of it.
Sonthert
Crick water's good. Mineral content in subsurface water is much higher.
mix_tape
I've wondered this but I've never noticed an issue with my tap water or anyone other peoples tap water I've used.
TiLLooR
The only time I have ever noticed a difference is when I was on holiday and the tap water was all desalinated...However in the UK I use tap water I wouldnt even try and use bottle water there is no need. Not Another Tool
No difference for me either. Also in civilization most tap water is mostly safe... kinda. filtered water is better but for smoking I don't think it will make a difference. Also I've been in a survival program against my will when I was 17 and I had to use creek water and even water out of a cow pond thing which was disgusting. We had to chlorinate the water so much or just boil it which took time since we had to make a fire using only sticks. Making fire with fing sticks is a pain but I can do it now because I had to learn to make food and drinkable water back to the hookah discussion, unless there is something seriously wrong with your tap water I doubt it will make a difference
Guest Cheng
Tap water ftw! British tap water is good, it dont have a nasty taste. Spats
Honestly! Essentially, water is water!!! Unless you are really heating it up (I hope not) and it is NOT horribly contaminated then it isn't an issue... Water be water at room temps! Sariél
I use filtered water. I don't notice a difference while smoking, but tap water leaves more residue over the long term. My tap water is very hard, and tends to cause a white, chalky buildup on everything. I have to clean out my dishwasher with vinegr every couple of months, and soak my shower head in CLR twice a year. Water purification regulations are so strict here that the local water suppliers chlorinate the hell out of all of it, regardless of need. While it may be safe, it isn't very tasteful, makes terrible coffee, and makes me wash my stemware by hand.
Stuie
I have never noticed much of a difference honestly. But we don't have heavy or hard water around here. Be even better when they finally get that reverse osmosis plant up and running.
