I Believe The Hype.

Dear hookahforum

I received a phunnel today (mini bought from another member here)

I didnt really care about phunnels at first when I joined the forums, because my egyptian was good enough, but I wanted to try a phunnel.

I received some SB blue mist and SB pink last week too.
The blue mist for a reason just wouldnt smoke at all in my egyptian. I probably got a bad batch or something.
I tried it in the phunnel as soon as I received it, and it smokes awesome like SB blue mist should. It's not perfect yet (probably a bad batch), but WAY better taste than with my egyptian.
I will try the SB pink (which is already great in my egyptian) and see the difference with a good batch.
I also have AF DA and other flavors which im very used to smoking in an egyptian. We will see the difference.

But for now, two thumbs up for the phunnel.
Thick clouds, great taste, and easy packing. Just fluffed it up to the rim and pressed down a little bit, poked holes everywhere, and 2 QLs.

I'm smoking as I type. I'll post back about the time spent smoking before the flavor drops! Supposed to be very good for length of sessions too from the posts here.

Nice job Eric! Makes me want to try Tangiers in it if I can get my hands on some!

I regularly smoke Blue Mist in my egyptian, can't imagine anything tasting better. You MUST have gotten a bad batch or you are packing the bowl too tightly.

See this thread for tips: http://www.hookahforum.com/topic/35607-so-you-want-to-smoke-starbuzz-eh/

You shouldnt poke holes everywhere. I do a ring of holes near the rim, then another set of holes more closer in, I dont poke a hole in the phunnel part neither. Thats how I pack my Al Fakher Double apple :)

Hehe, am I the only person not using one, due to my Lebanese bowl configuration?

another thing you can do to eliminate the hole in the middle, but still keep the foil from vacuuming to the intake, is take that metal spike that comes with every Mya hookah (I say Mya, because that's all I own) and run it sideways across the top of the intake; keeps the foil from sucking tight to the bowl. I tried this method the other night. 4.5 hours, then my lady friends and I gave up. The shisha under the surface was still damp, although hot.

Sonthert has my sword and Legolas' bow and Gimli's axe next time he has a brainstorm. Bravo sir. I must ask though, how did you come up with the concept? It does remind me an alarming amount of a Zerg spire http://members.tripod.com/loborojo_ed/spire.gif
