I've never come across a quick light charcoal that I've liked. However, I'm willing to give CH QLs a try. I was impressed with their nats, so we'll see if these work well.

I plan on using QLs only when traveling. Other than that, it's coconut naturals all the way.

I don't think my ql's even have a brand. They were the cheepest ($.99) roll at the store. I've seen the ql/nats debates on the forum and I thought "am I missing out on a life changing experience?". So I checket the reviews on nats and found that most people praised the nats for adding very little taste to the smoke. ¡¿WTF!? If if nats still add taste why go throuh the trouble of getting a stove, breaking coals, waitin for them to light, keeping them lit through the session and starting all over if you want to extend your session. I understand that nats are the bees knees for some folks and if alot of extra work yields a slight improvment then they will do it. I am going to stick with the ql's because I really don't notice any taste from my cheepos.

Been using Pharoah quicklites which stink of magnesium upon lighting but I'm usually to lazy to set up an oven etc. As for a preference, naturals are better but I dont think quicklits necessarily ruin your bowl.

Good question though, this is one of those "hot topic" issues amoungst hookah lovers.

I have only tried a few quicklights personally. I keep a couple of rolls of Goldens around for when I travel, but I hear a lot of good things about John's Quicklights. Haven't tried them yet... just not a fan of Quicklights. Natural coals are my go to coals.
