ukhookah
Hi I purchased some Nakhla mizo from germany, hoping this stuff would be better than the recent Al fakhers i have had. (not happy due to poor consistency and reduce quality) Anyways i were hoping this stuff to be juicy and moist comparable to al fakher, however this stuff is just sticky, but wouldnt say its wet. Is Nakhla mizo from america wet? can anyone post pics of what there nakhla mizo shisha looks like? Is there a difference between the german mizo nakhla to the states? If the american brand is better, then off course il just reorder from the states. cheers peeps
thatonethere
I can't post any pics, but the Nahkla in the states that I've received was always sticky. For some flavours, it is stickier than Mizo. For example, the watermelon I received was a little drier than the Mizo lemon I received. One thing I've found that works with Nahkla is to let it sit out in the open for a while (about a couple of hours) before you smoke it. I can't say that I've ordered Nahkla from Germany, so I can't compare between the two. To me, what matters most is whether it smokes well or not, and is the session enjoyable. Keep in mind that wetter is not always better. Some shishas (in general) may be really wet, but make for a terrible smoke session. I wish you many amazing smoke sessions regardless of whether you chose to get Nahkla from Germany or the states.
TiLLooR
This is a reason I have never ordered from Germany to get Nahkla. There is a legal requirement that German tobacco contains a certain amount of Glycerin. I think its somewhere around 5%. Typical Nahkla contains 25-30% according to a German website I was going to order from. So just add some of your own, not sure where you get glycerin in the UK. ukhookah
i see, i dont mind if the nakhla mizo is ment to be sticky. i just dont want it to be different to the non-german version of it. im just given up on al fakher, i dont get the same pleasure of smoking like i used to do with al fakher. our american friends speak highly of the nakhla mizo range, for flavour. i dont want the german mizo to be weaker. if there is a difference, then il just order again from usa
Arcane
if he doesn't reply to this thread...i'd e-mail amn_sinclair. he's stationed in germany and may have had a chance to try both german import nak and us import nak....
Amn_sinclair
alright here it goes. there is legal restrictions on the amount of glycerin that can be in german shisha the max limit is 5% glycerin which typically is a lot lower then any shisha you will get outside of germany. the wetting agent that is for sale with shisha is glycerin and if you are looking at ordering shihsa from germany get the wetting agent as well. In regards to being a difference. the shisha i recently got from my local head shop was a lot wetter then it has been in the past. still not as wet as stuff direct from the states though. so one of two options order from the states, or order from germany and get the wetting agent with it. when there isnt as much glycerin in the shisha it tends to burn easier as well as your clouds yrent going to be as dense... thats about all i can really think of. im expecting some nak in the mail this week so once i get my us nak again i will do a side by side comparison of german and us nak. ukhookah
the smoke test is awsome, but my worst fears came true. the shisha is too dry. nowhere near the clouds that ive seen on youtube reviews. have to say kills al fakher for taste. much more flavoursome. i think im just going to order some from hookahjohn. has anyone tried mixing glycerin with the german nakhla mizo? if so what type? jimbo2779
I know this is an old thread guys but I just wanted to let you all know that this was really helpful. I just bought a whole bunch from Germany and wondered if it was real or not because of the lack of juice. Mixed in some glycerine and its all dandy now. Looks right, smells right and smokes right. Good stuff guys. Oh and for those in the UK looking for glycerine try boots, I got a decent sized bottle for like £1.80. That bottle will juice up at about a couple of kilo's of shisha. Take it easy. mattarios2
Fellas, fellas, fellas. There is no need to add glycerin. Even if the german nakhla is dry, just pack more in there. I have had 2 year old nakhla that was as dry as can be and it smoked fine. Just pack more in there. All of the US mizo i get is real juicy. But just to make something clear that I have noticed ... it depends on the flavor. OG nakhla is always really juicy for me ... but og grape for example ... isn't. Fak mixed fruits, mandarin, peach ... and many others are always gooey for me, but others are always not gooey. So I believe it depends on the flavor. Same holds true for mizo. I have never had incredibly juicy mizo lemon, but I have had incredibly juicy mint, peach, apple, guava, cherry, and the others. So my experience is it depends on the flavor. As far as german nakhla ... well ... amn covered that :-) I guess my point was even if german nak is bone dry, it will smoke fine if you pack it real full. fineout
i disagree, i smoked nak sweet melon the other day and i used probably 30g in a medium phunnel, and i got 0 clouds, the flavor was decent but nothing near what i wanted, i added some elements sweet melon glycerine and it was a hundred times better
ukhookah
I have had: Mizo orange - sticky Mizo lemon - sticky Mizo mint - sticky Mizo apple - wetter Mizo grape really wet Mizo guava - little dry Mizo watermelon - little dry But all smoked pretty decent and I pack them the same. Tight to the rim in phunnel and full. However I've smoked mizo mint and cherry from germany. I've packed the shit out of it. Noway isit comparable to ther non german verion mizo. I've and glycerin and it just took the flavour away. Friend get your self some nakhla mizo exported from the states. Honestly u won't be dissapointed if you like the german rubbish

If you got zero clouds ... then you either didn't pack it tight enough, or didn't have enough heat ... or both
