rhineholt
So, I think I might have left my OG horchata out too long. It seems like there's not as much juice as there is in any other tangiers tobacco I had. Is there anything I could do about that or is it supposed to be less wet then lucid? Also, does OG take more heat then lucid?
Arcane
Lucid is wetter than OG, since more molasses is added to compensate for the removed nicotine. nicotine is a preservative...so is molasses. i guess if you remove one, you'll have to add more of the other to compensate... as for your horchata, just give it a stir....the juices should magically appear. if not, then no biggie...it should still smoke pretty well. i've left my tobacco open for a month or more. i have OG ubermint opened for about 3 weeks now....and it still smokes great. rhineholt
Hmmm, okay. I guess the way it was smoking had nothing to do with the lack of juices then... It wasn't harsh or anything... It's just... after I hit it for a couple of seconds, I just physically couldn't do it anymore when I'm normally able to do it for a lot longer. I think i underpacked it. Next time, i'll be sure to pack it like I normally do. Thanks jay! Oh, and for the heat. I used 3 halves of CH coals. That wasn't enough after 10 min. Then I put a 4th half on... Too strong. IDK! Edited January 24, 2010 by rhineholt
Codename067
A bit of Vegetable Glycerin would do justice.
Venger
has anyone added glycerin or molasses to the dryer brands like nak? the are stinky enough but not gooey. I get much bigger clouds from AF and even mizo is gooier and had bigger clouds.would it effect the flavor adversely? Ray
Arcane
not sure you want "stinky" nak, venger.....lol! if you add glycerine, the flavor does take a hit...and it doesn't take much to kill the flavor....for 1 bowl, i'd probably add 3 drops of glycerine to bone dry nak... Venger
i guess spell check doesn't catch me misspelling using real words. so not stinky but sticky nak. It is sticky enough. thanks for the catch.
mattarios2
the drier it is, the tighter it should be packed. ive had nak that sat out for a damn long time, and I have also gotten old old old stock of nakhla that was really dry back before they changed their recipe. All you need to do is pack it tighter. Mizo can handle a bit of a lighter pack because there are more juices there to compensate. OG, if its the old stock and its dry, pack it real tight, if its the newer og and its gooey, pack it somewhere in between bone dry nak and mizo.
