Handmade Lebanese Bowl Adapter And Foil Punch

Recommended Posts

Hey guys. More hookah stuff fresh off the lathe.

I was making some more pens I had pre sold and figured i'd give these a try while I was at it.

This first was a custom adapter for hassouni. He posted about getting a cheap phunnel for his lebanese hookah. We talked for a bit through pm's and he gave me some very precise measuerments. I took those and spun an olivewood adapter.

The other little poker actually comes from cigars (I am an avid cigar smoker). The tool is used to either unplug a cigar, or use it as a nubbing tool. I figured I might as well make a nice foil punch. Although the rod is 1/16'' so it might poke holes a little to small. I think a 3/32'' might be better. Not to sure what size a toothpick is. I will take my calipers to it one day and figure it all out. Anyways after turning, drilling, sanding, and finishing. I sharpend the tip to a nice point and voila!

What do you guys think?

man, if i had the money id be hitting you up for a phunnel bowl. looks good, im curious, how big is the hole that goes through the adaptor?

The air hole is 23/64'' (hehe just shy of 3/8'') The reason for that is I make wine bottle stoppers aswell and When I turn them I drill a hole. Then mount them on a screw chuck slightly larger and finish it off. Makes a process a lot easier. So I just used the same drill bit.

I meant to say the connector is again with no finish. But the foil punch got the royal treatment. The picture really dosen't do the punch justice.
