Fairly New Smoker! Whats The Best Shisha?

Recommended Posts

I just got my hookah a couple months ago and had the hookah-hookah stuff that I got with it.... I tried some fantasia crap and didn't realy like how freakin messy that crap was. And it didn't smoke for long at all! I need a good tasting and smoking shisha stat without buying out the smoke shop!

Most people you ask here will say Tangiers, Nakhla or Starbuzz. I will agree with Tangiers personally and i still smoke Al Fakher every now and then. But no matter what you use, proper packing techniques, heat management and good equipment will do you well.

+1 a good packing method and heat management is key!

Tangiers is good when you want to be incapacitated for a long time, the flavors are great though. AF is my go-to brand, I have yet to go wrong with them, but at the same time I've a fairly traditional flavor smoker (grape, mint, DA, occasionally strawberry), so I can't speak for more exotic stuff

It really depends on what you are after,
Buzz = Tangiers OG
Consistency + Some buzz = Nakhla
Great flavor but sometimes inconsistent = Al Fakher
Great flavor, Consistency = Mizo
unique flavors= Starbuzz

i'd go with AF or Starbuzz right now since, you're having difficulties getting some tobaccos to smoke right....AF is quite a bit cheaper, but if you can afford to spend the money then Starbuzz is more forgiving...

both are washed tobaccos, so if you're not used to nicotine....you'll get a slight buzz. if you're accustomed to nicotine, you may not feel anything.

if you can tolerate a bit of nicotine and a slight tobacco flavor (with some flavors), Nakhla is very easy to learn with...and some of the flavors are fantastic!

but he doesn't want something messy...every batch of AF I have had has been very messy.

nakhla has no mess to it, their mizo line is delicious.

95% of the time I smoke tangiers

I would recommend you go with Tangiers Lucid. It has great long lasting flavors, and you do not have to worry about acclimating the tobacco while you gain some experience with your hookah. Once you are more confident about packing, you can move to OG Tangiers.

al fakher even though it can be somewhat messy at times but it can be remedied with a paper towel, nakhla mizo is also really good, layalina is a staple for me alsong with the others but can be a bit messier. and the always good tangiers lucid.

well, "messy" depends on the packer....i make little to no mess when packing my bowls, because i am careful with what i'm doing. if you find you're spilling stuff with one tobacco, you're probably going to the do the same with another brand.

that's kinda like saying, you hate having dirty clothes all over your floor...so, you're going to buy new clothes to see if it makes a difference.

now, if you're talking about getting yours hand messy...just use a fork.

if it is the goo that gets you go with Nak. It is cheap, dryer, and huge flavor. My to go to brands are AF and NAK. AF is gooier but if you use a fork it works great for mixing the juices and "packing fluffy" like suggested.

I live way out in the middle of nowhere... so Epic Smoke and Fantasia are the two best that I can find in stores around me. I'm looking to order some Tangiers in the near future. The consensus seems to be that it's one of the best brands.

Al-Fahker and Nakla as most have suggester are great.

I find Layalina has the best fruit flavors in my opinion. Their strawberry and watermelon are much stronger tasting than other's I've tried with the exception of Starbuzz. Also if you want to try something different, try Layalina Rose - my favorite smoke.

I never touch the tobacco when packing a bowl. I use...dunh dunh dunh! The oyster fork. Most people don't go after oysters that much, so if you have them in the silverware drawer, they are sitting there unused and unloved. Give them a purpose in life. If you don't have oyster forks, order some...then how "messy" the shisha is won't matter.

These are my favorites currently:
