mavsfan31
I just started smoking Tangiers. I did it right, acclimated it properly, packed the bowl right and have the heat management down. I've never smoked it anywhere else, so I'm not used to how strong it is. Normally, I smoke Nahkla, AF, and Starbuzz. How many times after smoking will I get used to this? I can take big hits with any other shisha and be fine, but with this I can only take a small hit then I want to cough right after. Is this right? Honestly, it's not too enjoyable for me. Travis
What flavors are you smoking? Some of them are kinda iffy and do that. Ive built up an immunity though so it doesnt effect me anymore. Try os and static starlight.....those are a pretty mellow smoke.

[/quote] if you're taking small hits and coughing, then you probably didn't "do it right"... tangiers has a soft, smooth smoke....there may be a slight "bite" or tickle, but nothing to make you want to cough during a small hit... try putting it more tobacco....or backing off the heat. it really depends on what results you're getting now....thin smoke? no flavor, thick smoke? mavsfan31
Smoke was pretty good. The flavor was eh, didn't really taste bad persay, just wasn't that great. Me thinks I had a little too much heat going. We ended up taking off a coal and it worked MUCH better. I think the bowl could have seen a little more tobacco as well. Amn_sinclair
one of the most common mistakes with tangiers is under packking a bowl or using to much heat. tangiers is pretty delicate and has to be done just right or the smoke isnt going to be as awesome as it could be
nars2k
Tangiers is a great choice, just give it some time and your body will build a tolerance to the higher nicotine that Tangiers has. By the way what kind of bowl are you using?
Sonthert
Its often that a newbie will underpack a bowl and then add too much charcoal to compensate for the thin smoke, then it will be harsh. If you like to smoke it that way (and some people do, trust me), thats fine, otherwise, try using a "reasonable" amount of charcoal and then changing the amount of tobacco (presumably more) to get it to smoke right. A "reasonable" amount of coals obviously changes with the type and size of the bowl and the type of charcoal. You can call the number on the package and talk to me...if that will be quicker.
