Jaffi
Hey Folks Is it possible to reuse tangiers that was already in the bowl, but not burned? So I pull off the burned top layer of the tobacco, mix the old but still juicy one with unused tobacco and pack a new bowl? I mean the tobacco is juicy, but it was at least heated up! Don't add the old to your fresh stuff. I have a little bowl I use for mixing. Just dump the unused in there, add more new to it and repack it. Works great. Webbles
IMO, its not as tasty as if it was a fresh bowl all the way thru. Ive only had it taste the same after ive peeled off the top layer of the bowl and just topped it off with fresh tobacco. And only when it has been mabey a few hours since its been smoked. Back when i was learning how to pack it correctly, i would reuse bowls and mix in fresh and repack. It tasted ok, NOTHING to what it tastes fresh tho. Jaffi
Thanks so far, I'm gonna try it out later today.. I will add more fresh tobacco to the old one which is already in the bowl (so not mixing them before). @webbles yea I am still learning packing it and I don't want to waste too much tobacco! By the way, do you guys use warm water when smoking tangiers? Would you appreciate it?
Sonthert
I was over at Brent's house Tuesday and he was smoking Tangiers Lime for the fourth day in a row...out of a mini. I was surprised how good it was. Same bowl...not repacked at all. I think I'd prefer to put a new top layer on like the rest of the crew said, but some people have amazing success just adding more charcoal. [/quote] Only shit part about this is that you have to wait forever for the heat to get down in there and fire things back up again. It's the waiting process and the initial weird burnt taste that throw me. I just pull the top layer and repack, if I smoke a bowl of the same flavor twice. Sonthert
I would imagine the minis are easier to reheat...but I wouldn't stake my reputation on it.
