forth93
Hey guys, Me, my brother, and a friend of mine have decided to open up a Shisha bar. our Budget is $30,000, with each one of us investing $10,000 Now we have a great location, but....the issue is that Im leaving to another city which is 2 hours away, for university. so I can't be supervising in the shop, my best friend is going to do that. so I will be checking in every week or 2 weeks. can this work?? Do you think it would be wise to let someone else manage the shop while Im gone? will it cause problems? How do you run Shisha bars? we're probably going to have to hire another person because he can't handle the customers alone. Our Location is Bomb, we're all Shisha pro's, I can get all the furniture, license, tobacco, permit...etc. Again the only thing is that Im not gonna be managing the place, someone else is, should I invest under these circumstances? Jeff_T
If it were me personally, I would not invest if I wasn't going to be where my money was at (but $10,000 to me may be much more than it is to you). I'd suggest getting another investor to put in your share and when you're back in the area, then you can invest into the business. I guess it's all up to you guys to decide, but before hiring someone on, make sure you figure their wages into your business plan. It could end up costing you a lot more doing this. jbt90
I agree with Jeff, I also would not invest that large of sum of money into something I wouldn't be around to over-see. Especially if you are going off to college and getting a degree to get a job in the work place. Who knows how far away from your investment you would be then? Just food for thought, if 10g's is pocket change this could be something for you to consider, but if this is going to be a financially straining investment I'd be weary of it.
