So I am thinking about herbal smoke and that people rarely venture there unless you're me or another crazy person, and just enough to get a feel for it. But what if your favorite brand started making Herbal would you give it a fair shot?

well....at first it was going to be none...

but, i received a free sample of HH Evolution Tea Shisha (Orange)...and to be honest, it was a great flavor....it's just the flavor only lasted about 10 minutes....

but, it gives me hope that mediums other than tobacco could possibly make a good smoke...

i voted for Tangiers because most likely, Eric won't release an herbal product unless it meets his standards....and Nakhla, because it'll probably be really cheap...haha!

I haven't tried herbal shisha, but I plan to. Not because I expect it to be great but just so I will know what its like. I would try Al Fakher because that's whats available locally. I don't think I would pay shipping for herbal shisha.

I wish the herbal stuff Scalli was planning on making and selling through MNH was still around, that actually looked pretty decent and worth a try. And if Tangiers or Nakhla ventured into that realm I'd have to try it at least once...

Im always down for trying something new.
All the herbal thats out there today is close to crap mainly because of bowl longevity.
Id hit some tang just because of eric's standards.

JUST today I became a fan of Herbal "tobacco".

Smoked some in a regular sized Egyptian bowl..less than 20 grams..it lasted OVER 1 hour, and it was STILL ready to keep going. I took out the foil and I could still see some of the Herbs not black yet.

As to who 'should' make them...only those who are capable of creating Herbal Shisha that can last and taste good at the same time..Salaam.

I don't get this whole herbal thing. I fail to understand how it is different from tobacco, other than lack of nicotine.

thats pretty much it. its mostly made for people who dont smoke tobacco.

(also its not tobacco so it can bypass smoking bans. a lot of hookah lounges and bars serve it cuss they cant use tobacco anymore.)
also some people think since its not tobacco its safer to use but the jury is out on that. (*personal opinion only* herbal I feel is the same or worse as tobacco. altho I am one of the few people on the planet that dosent believe tobacco is as bad as its rep makes it out to be. like all things that are enjoyable its bad for you but used in moderation I feel there is not much wrong with it, its the over use that causes the bad things to happen.unfortunately most people who use it do overuse it myself included. I am only referring to the tobacco itself not the additives in it. *personal opinion only* )

since Af is washed anyway it doesn't have that tobacco taste so IF you could find a medium that was like washed tobacco I don't know maybe a washed green tea it would be similar because if the juiciness

If Nahka made some herbal, I'd try it out. I wouldn't put my hopes up though. Herbal shisha either has really crappy clouds, a short flavour duration, and/or it's just plain harsh.

There would be some significant problems with making herbal sheesha that performs the way we expect it to. That's why I avoid it.

does the tobacco leaf have a major difference in texture and consistency say over some tea leaves? I would think with all the variety and cuts and oxidations they would be somewhat similar.
