dizzbizz
[font="arial, verdana, tahoma, sans-serif"][size="2"]So, I posted this January 17th in the How-To Section and it got 145 views and zero replies, so I was hoping it'd get a little more traffic and input here. I've been wanting to make some homemade hoses. I made some a while ago and used the clear silicon hoses with the 1/2" ID, but the flexibility really sucks. I saw that Poncho sells his glass hookahs with that beige colored hose. I think they're surgical hoses or something. I googled surgical hoses and didn't find anything. I just wanted to know where to get these and which sizes they're available in. Also I wanted to see if there are other types of hoses I could use for better flexibility that may be different than these two. dizzbizz
LATEX tubing!! Thats what Poncho uses. God, it was like on the tip of my tongue this whole time. Thanks, Chinamon! I found it through that link you sent me. And to correct my first post, I didn't use silicone tubing it was PVC. That clear rubber. I found silicone on that site and thats not what I meant. Thanks again!

poncho
hey guys glad i saw this thread, I don't actually use silicon hosing, I've been using the vinyl tubing that they have at home depot in the plumbing department. I think the flexablity of it is fine, and it holds up really nicely. I've been testing a few hoses for about a year now and they have no problems at all. They soften up a bit over time, and you can always wash them and stay pretty much brand new. It also pressure fits around my glass really well, and i think it would around other materials as well. Once its on there its not coming off unless you slice it with a razor blade.
Giant Ninja Robot
Before you assemble the hose and every time you deep clean it, boil the vinyl tubing in hot water and stretch it out. It'll be much easier to use.
indian_villager
A well stocked home depot does carry latex tubing but I am not sure what diameter.
