Stuie
So a lot of people have asked me what BBs I have been using so I figure just post it to answer it for everyone that want's to know. First and foremost, Canon was the person who suggested to me to do it. So props go to him for the idea. Here is what I am using: AirStrike Brand 6mm (.24 Cal) Non-Biodegradable. They have some Biodegradable ones, wouldn't recommend them... water and all. I bought a 2000 pack a while back, orange colored at Walmart. They have fit in every Mya Saray Auto Seal Adapter and Purge Valve. The only exception is the KM Purge Valve that looks like a conical pyramid (Like on the KM Signature Ice). So I hope that helps those that asked, and those I have given some to, to find more.
foibled again
Strange, 6mm is too small for all of my Mya Autoseals. I have to use 8mm for those. Also, the 6mm work on all the different KM purge valves I've come across including the larger ones although 8mm is better IMO for the later. dizzbizz
Yeah same for me. I use 6mm and they're too small for my Mya auto seals
Codename067
people actually have questions about THAT? Seems a little too straight forward if you ask me. I'm still using the OG metal balls! No problems yet!
thehelios
.20 mm plastic pellets have fit every single hookah release valve EXCEPT the stargate.
Stuie
I haven't had any problems with the Mya Saray Auto Seals, but in all honesty I don't use them on my auto seals often. I have a few that have them in but most don't. The metal balls in the Auto Seals have never given me any problems unlike purge valves.
Dr. B
heads up: 8mm works perfectly for Myas and 10mm works for the KM sig ice and similar purge, including the Mya auto-seal Edited February 7, 2010 by Dr. B
Venger
whats the advantage? why would a plastic ball bearing work any better than a metal one? Ray

Ray
I'd imagine because plastic is much lighter weight meaning it's easier to purge. My metal ball bearing gets stuck a lot
thehelios
The plastic pellet isn't susceptible to rusting so it jamming, accumilating debris/buildup is not a possibility. And they're easy to replace if you happen to lose them.
Sonthert
I'm quickly being converted to plastic BBs. I was WRONG. Plastic BBs don't have the same buildup problems that steel ones do. Walt proved it to me. I'd like to try some stainless steel ones though...just as an idea.
Stuie
The biggest advantage in my opinion is they don't rust. So the rarely get stuck but if they do they are easy to pop out with a good blow.

jezter6
I will say that (on first test) these BBs (sent to me by stuie) didn't work out. I was able to easily push them through the opening at the bottom of the auto seal. these are the same size as I've had before, and they routinely get stuck because they're so small. I've had to pull out the hose port and use a screw tool to push it back in, as the normal 'bang it on the table a few times' trick that works on the metal ones didn't do anything to dislodge the plastic one. I need to find bigger bb's...
