kemz
I Just bought from H&S an eqyption hookah. I used golden coal and al fakher flavour tobacco i cant get any flavour. I've also used different coal (romman) and different tobacco and still same thing. Its like a foul taste. I have a feeling i not fully burning the coal enough but then again golden coal are easy light, how long do you leave it lit b4 usage? Also i know with one go i packed the tobacco too high becuase it was burnt and stuck to the foil. (but that only happened once). I've even left the shisha open for hours for humidity shock reasons. Ive followed all the instructions and read alot of troubleshoots, but cant figure out the problem. I dont want to even set it up because each time i do the same problem happens and the same problem happened with 3 different hookahs/shisha/coal. (its just me i guess haha). !HELP WANTED! ce62
when you are a bigginner can happen that you dont find the balance tobacco-quantities-caol, there are several reasons , the tobacco is too old, the caol is not right, the quantities id too low or to much, the aluminium has not several holes ect ect, after few times that you'll prepare your narghile, i'll find the right way to do it. ciao
kemz
but tobaccos brand new, coals are pretty good brand, and ive tried every style of hole punching in the foil plus even ive tried that tray instead of the foil. stilll nothing
yashman19
Similar to what you thought might help, give that sucker more heat. To test out what would be the best heat for most flavor/smoke quantity, try putting on as much coals as needed to make the bowl harsh, and then just use a bit less the next time. You want to find that level of heat JUST before it gets harsh. If adding more heat still doesn't help, try setting up and packing your bowl differently, ie pack it tighter/looser, fuller/less-full, more/less holes in foil, more/less heat with coals.Do you think everyone here masters their technique within a week of getting their hookah? Nope. And there isn't one supreme technique that everyone uses. People just do what works for them. It might take a while, but once you find your niche, it will all be worth it in the end. Don't give up now.Good luck, and keep us posted.
zzzzzT
Like Yashman said try some different packs. I notice wetter tobacco generally does better if packed lightly and broken apart to allow good airflow. But some brands like Tangiers do well with a tight pack for me. EliteHookah.com
Try stirring the tobacco up really well. Sometimes all of the "juices" can sink to the bottom and the stuff on top won't have a very powerful taste.
steve07
I always stir my tobacco before I use it. Always remember different tobacco burns different. Just when you think you got a system down you try a different tobacco. Like Yash said, It took us a while to get our smoking systems down, don't get discouraged. SanguineSolitude
im not saying it is, but it may be the hookah. i have a friend who has a large subpar hookah, and its the only hookah ive ever had problems with. Ive tried everything and cannot get good flavor to save my life. I dont understand the problem with it. i can smoke the same tobacco in my hookah and his at the same time and mine will be terrific tasting and his will taste like nothing. Its rather strange, although his does leak just about every place it could. you might want to check your hookah for leaks (plug holes and submerge under water, watching for bubbles.) if you find them you can temporarily fix them with tape. though even with that his hookah wouldnt smoke worth a darn. c4r80n
make sure you let the coals gray over in ash (no black spots) before inhaling/using.blowing on them helps speed up the process.
EliteHookah.com
If it's a problem, try lighting your quick lighting charcoals on a stove (gas or electric doesn't matter). If you treat them like non quick-lighting charcoals you'll be guaranteed to get a good hot charcoal before you start.
