German Nak Vs American Nak

Recommended Posts

alright guys so i finally got around to reviewing both nakhlas and smoking them side by side. i even made a video review although i split it up into 4 parts because i wasnt able to combine them and keep it under 10 minutes here is a typed review as opinion as well

german nak cherry: alright so before i added any glycerin there was very little smoke but the flavor was still pretty good, not to my standards though, after adding the glycerin and throwing a wind screen on the clouds were awesome but the flavor pretty much died out imo, so if you get glycerin for your german shisha def get some flavored glycerin to help keep the flavor alive.

american nak: this was the winner imo it smoked great right off the bat and the flavor was awesome all the way through. i always enjoy a good bowl and this was the one i enjoyed.

another difference between the two was coloring, the german nak was just brown un colored or anything the american nak was red from food coloring i assume.

both were smoked using funnel bowls. the amercian nak was a knock off funnel, and the german was a tangiers medium phunnel. both used reynolds hd, both from a standard 1 piece hose brand new just for the reviews, smoked out of a no name egyptian.

final opinion if you can get the american one and dont mind paying international shipping do that, if you have to get the german one i would say make sure you get flavored glycerin for it, commonly referred to as wetting agents online.

i will post the video links as soon as they are done uploading. also this is my first video review so im kinda lost while doing it lol

Has anyone tried flavored glycerin? This sounds like something I really want to try, but if it's crap I will forget it. I have only seen flavored glycerin on one german site is it available in the US? I also found this http://tastypuff.com/ on one of the US sites. What's that all about?

Any info is appreciated.

Hmm..this sounds pretty cool..for super old dried up tobacco..

I've used vegetable glycerin though, and it does work to an certain extent.

I think it works very well for dried and old shisha, but kills flavor if you use too much.

Good stuff Sinclair. Was the American Nakhla Mizo line or just regular stuff? I don't recall that I've ever had Nakhla that was any color other than a natural brown color, strange.
