New From Socal!

Hey what's up everyone! I picked up a 38" KM Isis last week and just decided to join the boards. I'm on hookahpro as well in case some of you have seen me post over there. Been doing a lot of reading to aid in my hookah experience so feel free to throw in a few tips if you want haha. I just ordered some CCN coals, SB cosmos, and a bag from south smoke but I'll probably be picking up some Nakhla Earl Grey and a Narbish at the end of the week. I was also looking at maybe trying out some of the HH teasha since I'm also going to order a funnel bowl soon. Anyways, just glad to finally get a hookah and enjoy it without having to go to a bar haha.

Sounds like you're already set up and ready to go. Sounds like a great equipment list there, glad to hear it. The good choice with everything. You'll not be disappointed by the KM, CCN's or phunnel (at least IMO). Not really the biggest SB fan, but a lot of members here really like the stuff. Can't give you any advice on the HH teasha, haven't tried it, but if it's like other HH stuff I'd save you be better off spending the money on something else. The Nakhla Earl Grey is a good shisha, pretty different though (in a good way I think). Anyways, hope you decide to continue to participate in the forums and enjoy everything it has to offer. Don't forget to check out the rules ad have fun. Again, welcome.

Thanks for the welcome. I ended up not ordering the stuff from southsmoke. Instead I went ahead and pulled the trigger on a Narbish V3, CH Naturals, Vortex bowl, and 250g of Nahkla Earl Grey. I'll be ordering a Tangier's Phunnel bown and some more shisha probably by the end of the week. Hopefully my stuff from HJ comes soon because he's located only about 45 mins away from where I live haha. Looking forward to trying out the new stuff though. The Noir coals I've been using have been good in a pinch but I'm ready for some more even burning coals. I'm hoping to find some CCN coals though so I may throw that in when I order the other stuff but HJ doesn't have CCNs in stock at the moment and he's the only person I know of that has the legit Tangier's in stock.

You should not be disappointed with HJ and his service. Very good, reputable vendor and overall good guy. Sounds like a good order you placed though. I personally like the CH coals a little more than the CCN's, but it may be just because I've used them more. They are good coals though and should set you in the right direction. Although it's a holiday weekend, I'm sure you'll get the order quickly.
