Just under 25, thats quite low for canada isnt it? Why was it so low? Ive seen people charged 100's.

EDIT: O yea, nice order!
yes that is VERY low for duties. usually its about $40 per 250g.
sometimes you get a customs agent that doesnt know or doesnt care.

let me know if the serbetli is worth purchasing....

also, is the shipping discreet with the turkishgiftstore?
i wont be trying it until next month some time.
shipping was a little too discreet. there was no documentation for customs so they have to open the package. i noticed that smoking-hookah does the same thing. i guess their mail system is different than ours where customs documentation is mandatory.

yeah... we have a very big "under the table" (no duties paid) shisha tobacco industry in toronto which usually has prices at around $5 for 50g and $20-25 for 250g.
the legal shisha tobacco prices is around $13-15 for 50g and i think $50-60 for 250g.
its pretty retarded.

Nice order! I like all the Nakhla. And those prices are ridiculous. Just go across the border stock up and hope they dont search your car?

yeah but if you dont declare items and they happen to find it in your possession then it is legally classified as smuggling which allows them to impound your vehicle.
the nearest border to me is buffalo,ny which is about 1.5 hours away (not including the driving from the border to the hookah store). with the time and fuel and mileage added up, its not worth the drive.

Looks like a great order. Glad it got through without much trouble. I'm also interested to see how the Serbetli is, let us know when you try it.

I would be careful before using that hookah. When I went to Istanbul, they told me those hookahs are for decoration, not smoking.

First of all, hookah is very nice along with serbetli and the matching items is turkish coffee set.

For the hookah, it is not just for decoration. There was a topic about the safety of copper hookahs here in this forum which i read before buying it,
i could not seem to find it again for a backlink here. Anyway, there is an urban legend which says copper hookah kills, yet we use copper for all
kind of cookware and it is the best one cause it distributes the heat evenly. And there is absolutely no way that a charcoal fire can reach to copper's
melting point temperature. Urban legend stands but no proof yet for the claim and I am not really sure that the claims are true.

Guest Cheng
When I was younger I heard my brother mention that there was a legislation about copper being used as water pipes (as in water supply pipes). The copper apparently was poisonous (due to erosion) and the law made sure that copper wasn't user any more.

That was when I was a kid, maybe I was in la la land thinking of power rangers, have no idea if its true.

Wow!

If prices were that high, I don't think I could afford to smoke hookah. I mean, a (2) 250g tubs cost as much as my entire hookah.

The one I bought is not just for decoration only, it has all the necessary parts inside and I do smoke it.
