Hey guys. I'm new here, not new to hookah's though. We've got a 3 hose ball bearing, about 2.5' ft tall (roughly)..

Anyways, it has an older style base, the threaded kind. See the pic. Where can we find another base like that? I've been searching, and can't find anything! I really don't want to start over with a new hookah, this one smokes awesome. I made my own hoses too outta 1/2" vinyl tubing, and also made an adapter that moves the coal screen up off the bowl so it heats the shisha move evenly and slowly. It's awesome! Thanks guys, anything helps.

Mya saray sells screw on vases, the threading is on the inside, I am not positive they will fit but maybe someone can chime in, the last 3 on this page ... ya, Mya Saray is your best bet....

...I'd lose the screen, try foil, trust me...much better experience

The threads o my vase on not internal, they're on the outside of the vase. I'll check it out though. Thanks!

And for the coal screen, we have a small bowl, then I have a 3/4" aluminum spacer that the screen sits on with foil wrapped around it to make a nice seal. If you want pics, I can go take some!

maybe check out the screw on myas, i think thats your best bet

Chances are high that you're gonna have to scrap it. If that stem in the background of the bowl pics is the one you're referring to, it's a brand less Chinese, meaning that the odds are you won't be able to find another base that will fit correctly.

For the metal ring you have around the bowl, are you just using it so you can pack the bowl higher? I have something similar with that outside lip that another ceramic piece sits on, kind of weird.

Damnit. I really didn't want to have to start over. I can get a picture of the stem if need be.

As for the metal ring, it raises the coals just a lil higher off the shisha, creating more of a convection with the tobacco, which makes it smoke better and last longer, it's awesome!

Yeah you would prolly win the lottery before you find another vase like that, i've never seen anything like that for sale from anywhere online before. So it looks like it's time to invest in a new hookahs, make sure and check out the Mya's, Khalil Mamoun, and Teemsah's that are out there. Hookahjohn.com and hookahcompany.com are good places to start your search. Oh and welcome to the forums!!!!

I'm working on a custom order from hookahhookah.com... If the one i'm bidding on, on ebay goes through in the next hour, I'm gonna order that one up on HH for 34" 3 hose with ice chamber and diffusers!

NO DON'T DO IT!!!!! HH Hookah's are complete trash, check stuff at Hookahjohn.com or Hookahcompany.com, they have legit nice pieces that will last longer then a month(which the HH hookah will rust in that time).

I'm really looking for a hookah that's at least 3 hoses, 27" or taller, and not really wanting to spend over $140 including shipping.

I built one on HH that was a Persian 22" stem, with 3 hoses, ice chamber, 2 diffusers and an 11.5" base with 1-3/4" opening in the top... I also put in 2 extra stem adapters in case they aren't included, and with shipping came out to $145 I think, which is dead max what I wanna spend. Thanks guys.

The good thing about mya's is that they can easily convert to as many hoses as you need, Hell you might want to just buy a one hose mya pipe and some extra hose adapters since you made your own hoses.

I think I looked at that one.... A glass one would be nicer I think. I'm going to fab up something to support the base on a table, so it can't rock around or fall off if we have a party.

Ours was 27", and I think I want something bit taller, lil different design, and something with a case to travel around with it.

Then try this, I happen to own one of these and it smokes great. The base is as stable as they come all you would need to do is add a few hose adapters and you'll be set.

So with the Tempest, I would need to buy 2 additional adapters to make that a 3 hose hookah? No changes to the stem? I like that one, I just wish it could have a ice chamber for cooler smoke!

I wonder if one of the diffusers from HH would work with it? I like the diffuser idea for sure!

Ice chambers are just a gimmick and you wont really notice a change when using a diffuser.

How does changing the stem work with that Tempest?

You dont change the stem. all you do is unscrew the caps from the heart to add more hoses.

And the tempest heart has 3 or 4 ports on it? That's sweet. The more I think about it, the more I like the tempest.... Any suggestions on setup or smoking with it? I think I'll buy it and grab up 2 extra adapters to turn it into a 3 hose hookah.

But I really want to either buy the diffuser, or make one outta the hotel shampoo bottle like a few here have done. I've been smoking mine this whole time without one, so I'll know right away if it's worth anything.

Sorry to say it tre, but there's a reason that sahara smoke hookahs are cheap... Because they are made with really low quality metal and smoke like shit.

You'd be better off getting a MYA QT with 2 hoses for about 50 bucks or a MYA acrylic with 3 hoses for maybe 80ish.
