ive had people hold my hookah at their feet before with a wind cover on in the car. worked well...except 1 time.

Get a cooler and throw on the floor behind the passenger. Put the hookah in and fill the cooler with ice. Keeps it cold and sturdy. Just make sure you have a wind cover for those potholes.

although I loves me some smoking and driving I dont know if i can risk the hookah in the car....guess ill have to stick to cigs....for now

I have a Ford Ranger extended cab. When i smoke in the car i place my KM centered in the back seat. Then I take the center seat belt, since its just a lap seat belt, and seat belt the hookah against the seat. This makes a really nice strong grasp on the hookah. No wobbles.

In the case of a wind cover, i opt to make a "foil wall" around the edge of my bowl. All i do is take a large sheet of foil, fold it about 3 times and twist it around the end of the bowl so it sits about and inch or two over the top of the bowl. This works way better then the wind cover as the wind cover still allows the coals to move and fall onto the tray.

Then only accident I have ever had was using the wind cover and trying to do a coal flip. So eliminate the wind cover and all is well.

ON A SIDE NOTE: I have also been pulled over with the hookah going in the car in this set up. (I live in California) All that ended up happening was the cop asked if i was smoking NHT and i said no. He said i know i cant smell it but its mandatory for me to ask. Then he wrote me up a ticket for whatever it was i was doing wrong. I think cardboard fell out of the bed of my truck or something stupid.

Maybe i was lucky, but whenever i have the hookah set up and a cop is around I hear the same thing. Some even ask me about it. Whats funny is there seem to be a lot of douch cops in my area and they no longer hassle me as they all know I am the guy that "smokes that hookah thing all around town."
