Need A Mix Suggestion

Recommended Posts

Ok HF, I've been in that "I don't feel like smoking" mode since mid December.

Tonight is the first night I feel like sparking up a bowl in 2 months, but I don't feel like smoking the ordinary stuff.

I need a mix suggestion.

Materials:

-Nakhla Mizo Peach
-Fusion Guava
-AF Grenadine
-A little bit of Starbuzz Orange (:()
-Nakhla Margarita
-Nakhla Mint
-Nakhla Mizo Cherry
-Nakhla Sweet Melon
I want something creative. Not just the ordinary Melon and Mint mix. Something that really will catch me off guard and spark my interest so I can do this :Hookah: for a while.

I'd definitely try the Nakhla margarita and Mizo cherry, seems like it'd be a cherry limeade (I want one now from Sonic). I've not smoked either of them, so not sure how powerful each flavor is, but I'd think like 60% cherry/40% marg.

i know i'm a bit late but, here's what i would've done:

- thin layer of starbuzz orange on the bottom
- spin some margarita, cherry and mint together (2:3:1 ratio)
- set that on top of the orange

let her rip. i figure you'll start off with a cool cherry marg (or cherry limeade as was mentioned earlier)...then when the orange starts heating up, it should add a nice smoother sweetness along with a slight orange flavor. the only issue is, i can't really remember what SB Orange tasted like. i know i've had it before, but can't recall the flavor. ok, more mixes:

- Grenadine and Orange, maybe some mint too but I don't know if it'll cooperate well with the different brands. Also, I'm not positive about this mix since I have no idea how AF Grenadine tastes like. If it's a regular Pom flavor, it should work really nicely.

- Peach, Cherry, and Mint - This would probably just be a nice fruity smoke. Nothing fancy. Just something good.

Unfortunately, that's really all the mixes I can think of (that haven't been mentioned already. My only concern is with the 3-4 flavor mixes. There may be too many flavors combined, that your palate might get lost and it'll end up tasting muddled.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. I want to add enough flavors to make it complex, but I need to combat the tendency for mixes like that to get muddled as you said.

I think 4 flavors, done properly, can work well. I think I'm leaning towards Codenames mix as of right now.

OK Smoking Codenames mix right now.

Although I used less mint than he suggested (knowing he is a mint fiend), I can still taste that being the predominant flavor.

Although I didn't think I would taste the pomegranate would be as strong as it is, I can definitely detect it in the background.

The peach and the mint are the 2 strong flavors one can easily detect.

The guava gets lost unfortunately. I expected this, since it isn't as strong as the other flavors.

All in all, great mix! Thanks guys.

i think i'm going to try either orange, peach, mint or lemon peach mint. i think some citrus with the peach, and a touch of mint for some cooling (not overwhelming codename-style) would be pretty bueno.
