Theres typically some smoke that comes out of my bowl. Jay, you might need to work on heat management if you have flames coming out of the top :P

Agreed.

A little smoke in the beginning is normal since you're burning off a bit of the juice that has accumulated on the foil. But 9/10 times I see smoke coming from a bowl at the lounge, it's burning hot.

I'd say a general rule of thumb is, if you see few wisps coming out after you release from pulling, it's just stem smoke kick back - no problem. But if you see smoke steadily rising from the bowl, pull a coal or three because it is burning and you will eventually taste it.

Also when I move coals around the bowl, sometimes I see a bit of smoke which I figure is too much heat if it's significant.

I'd say you are burning it a little hot. :)

I only notice it on super wet tobacco when I see it on mine. Pretty sure it's the residue of juice on the foil after I am done packing. But most of the time even then I rarely notice it.

I'm not gonna lie, that looks like way too much heat for that bowl.

I normally see a very slight plume of smoke that comes from my bowl. Usually right as i put the coal on a new bowl. And just as Stuie mentioned, its usually the burning off of the extra juices on the foil. Its natural. Regardless if im smoking tangiers or Nakhla.

but in my case there is not juice on the foil coz as u can c i m uscing a metal screen which is completely clean...so i dunno... :/
plus...if the problem is too much heat,if i take off one coal i dont get much clouds.. :(

i get some smoke to come off right after a full even with metal screans but it shouldn't constantly be coming off, try cutting the coals in half and using 4 halves on that bowl and tell us how it fairs
