A Hard Decision?

I'm looking for a great tasting shisha that gives a great buzz as well. I'm a fairly new hookah user, barely just upgrading my pumpkin to a Mya qt. I've always just bought shisha that were local (i.e. gas station, tobacco store, mall), so i've never known of the variety and quality of flavor and buzz online. I heard that Tangiers and el Nakhla were notorious for their buzz, but also that tangiers is expensive and nakhla can have some bad flavors. Also does tangier's buzz extend to their lucid and noir line? Any tips? And i'm not rich, so nothing about 1000grams or anything lol.

i personally still like Nakhla the best, good buzz, lots of flavor, giant smoke clouds. Other then that good ole AF for me. (This is coming from someone though who isnt into things like starbuzz cause for some reason friends seem to enjoy SB Banana... which imo sucks)

Nakhla has some Great Flavors. Tangiers Lucid is washed and has less nicotine.

Going for broke huh... well

I recommend trying these for buzz:

Nakhla Double Apple

Tangiers Orange Soda

Desi Murli Roohfza

and if you want to be crazy...

Tangiers F-Line Apple

Well, by new, I meant only a year with beginner equipment and no knowledge of the real hookah/shisha internet world. But i've been rewading up, mostly on this site. Investing in a mya qt, blue, glass mini phunnel, glass scalli mod, some type of windcover, and a few shisha boxes besides the local fantasia and jewel. I used to have one of those mini pumkins and with the windcover/bowl combo. Ive figured out the combo bowl makes the shisha burn quick as it gets really hot. I'm not sure if i should invest in a metal screen (would it give too much air), or a hote puncher for aluminum, or any other accessories as well. And where do i find shisha's like that. Tangiers seems to be the all around best, but i could only find a $15 price tag for the cheapest at 250g. Naklah ive heard equally as good, seems to be a bit cheaper, and unwashed which is a plus form what i've read. It seems t also have its own group of loyal followers, spewing things like infedels to those that dont like their brand. Starbuzz seems to be the more flavorful of choices, but agian, high price tag, and being washed, gives little to no buzz. SO i pretty much base it off buzz and price since out of 40 flavors, i'm sure i can find one. Where would be a good place to buy the shisha too?

Seemed like a good deal for Nakhla, but not too much selection in flavors.

Idk about "buzz". I feel that it's mainly from lack of oxygen and/or bad coals. I get uncomfortable when buzzed from hookah. Brands vary but the only time I get a "buzz" is when I smoke OG Tangiers. Sometimes I get buzzed when I've been drinking and then light anything up but that would be from the alcohol. I just don't get the "buzzed" thing. I do get it when it comes to drinking though, so go figure.

And i'll def check out the nakhla double apple. Nakhla seems like a good, cheap brand, and double apple never really seems to be a bad choice.

i'd rock Nakhla for a while till you get a bit more knowledge under your belt. it's inexpensive so it doesn't end up hurting too bad when you fuck up bowls....and it's really forgiving, so you don't have to worry about being exact about heat management or packing.

after that, i'd try my hand at Social Smoke - even though, having never tried it....it's unwashed, so you get the buzz and it probably acts different than Nakhla. so you can use it to check and see if you can adapt your technique to different shishas.

after a few great sessions for Social Smoke, move to Tangiers and see what happens. make sure you read the directions on the package. And Call the phone number if you need any help whatsoever.

Alright, so I'm leaning towards El Nakhla. Stuie and A13lackFish both recommended Double apple, so I have to try that one. From my reading, some other good flavors seem to be Caramel, Strawberry, mint, melon, mandarin, mango, orange, cola, cherry, lemon, and cinnamon. I'm looking to get around 6 boxes. Whats should i pick? Where do I get it? And is there a different class of nahkla, like there is tangier?

Tangiers isn't for the faint of heart, its also difficult to get it to smoke right your first few times handling it(for most people)...not to mention it is finicky with humidity.

Tangiers is what I smoke 95% of the time...pretty much the only time I smoke something else is when I'm at a friend's place and they pack something else(usually nakhla or al fakher)

it's just not your typical tobacco...read some of the posts on here.... so-called "established" smokers have had problems, only to find out...they're treating it like other tobaccos. Tangiers is special.....take time to learn how to smoke it properly.

There are different Nakhlas...I'm probably going to misspell them but there are the regular line, el basha, sherizade, and mizo

as for flavors, the only ones I really smoke are double apple, mint, sweet melon, and my favorite, peach
if you like cinnamon, go for it, I think it is way too overpowering in flavor

you can find nakhla at different vendors. I recommend http://www.hookahjohn.com/Hookah-Shisha_c3.htm and http://www.hookahset.com

dont forget to search around the forum, there are discount coupons for these vendors(I'm too lazy to find them for you)

So I should go for the regular brand on those flavors?

Hmmmm....I'd recommend Double Apple as well, however...it's not for everyone. Especially if you don't like licorice flavor.

The other lines are El Basha, which used to be washed. But, I've been told it's not anymore. The Caramel flavor is in that line.
There's Mizo, which is purported to compete with AF. In that line, try Orange, Watermelon, and Guava. If you like mint, Mizo Mint and Mizo Gum are good.
There's the Sherezade line, which is more exotic flavors. Popular choices are Chocomint, Cardamom and Cinnamon.

There's also El Nakhla and Classic Nakhla....just choose whichever sounds good to you. Those are pretty accurate in flavor except with Strawberry. That's more of a strawberry jam, than a fresh strawberry.

Tangiers sound pretty interesting. If it wasnt for the 15 or 16 dollar price im finding for a 250g, i'd try it. A shisha, that actually confuses people....I gotta do some research i guess.

there are discount codes for 10% off at some places and 15% off at other places...plus some places sell three pack deals for $5 cheaper than what it would be to get it individually + 15% off...so it isn't necessarily $15 :P

Tangiers is good. but if you mess up a bowl its a bummer. (Then again im in the UK and i pay the equivalent of nearly $30 for 250G AF!) i dont know if this is just me or not but tangiers quality seems to have gone down a little. i remember last may when i bought it, it seemed to be alot more juicy. it doesnt seem to smoke as good at it used to! Anyway, tangiers is still definitely at the top of my list and is worth buying! ( bare in mind, you have to pack these bowls tight! So you may use alot more flavour than you do with AF etc!) Nakhla is good too! Much cheaper than tang in the us(i think) and it doesnt rape you if you make a mistake with it like tangiers does( if you get me).

Nakhala Cardamom will give you a good buzz but be warned it is an odd flavor. I love it but it smokes like lemon pine-sol mixed with gin and leaves a halls lemon cough drop taste in your mouth.
