Blakefox
Hey, Blake here. I've decided to get a glass mini phunnel, jet glass screen, and scalli mod. But now the hookah itself comes into question. I had almost decided to choose a mya QT, due to the popularity in th quality of QT and Petite. But the more I look, the more the question pos in my head, Is there a difference between hookahs? Do taller mean better smoke? Does metal mean hotter shisha? To me, the QT, Angel, and grape hookah look pretty nice for a person with a small wallet and who takes his hookah around alot. Is one "better" than the other? Naten
Its all preference really. Bigger hookahs do technically smoke better due to the long stem allowing the smoke to cool more, but small ones like the mya qt smoke amazing. The difference between a large and small hookah is hard to notice. Id go with the smaller one for price and travelling.
Blakefox
Do the shape or size of the base or material make a difference?
Hassouni
Where are you gonna get that from? I thought MN was the only vendor, and aren't they kind of out of the game now?
koris
I'm going to be biased but first of all I had my QT for almost 2 years before I got my Al Fakher. I loved that thing but decided I wanted to see all the fuzz about the AF hookahs and wanted a little bigger one for social smokes. I was pretty much blown away when my buddy brought my new hookah from the states to my hands. The pull is so much easier, rather than be marveled at the new starbuzz I was smoking I was just puffing away because it was so freaking easy and nice. The cooler smoke does take a positive impact after you smoke from a QT for such a long time that makes it less harsh. However I still love my QT and don't regret our days together. Plus having to use my AF all the time I miss cleaning hookah gear in the sink not the shower

My petite is a beast but I don't think it smokes as well as my KM Pharonie. But it definitely smokes just as good as the no-name Egyptian I have. I don't think height has anything to do with smoke quality, I think its the build quality and the sizes of the ID.
hookah hippie
After reading this post I decided when I get home I am busting out the jet phunnel. I find that larger hookahs allow the smoke to cool longer and don't run into the problem I have seen where you clear the chamber and water ends up in the bowl

So order at your own risk.

alive
I have a H-S branded pharoph, and while its not the best consruction it smokes great, wide chambers, etc. I love the way it looks. However, i usually smoke my QT because its almost as good, but is easy to clean and sits right on my desk with easy acess to coals. Go with looks, thats really the major difference. Jeff_T
I love my QT and use it a majority of the time. Although there isn't a huge different between it and my KM for smokeability, there is still a difference. Other larger hookahs may not have the effortless draw the KM has, so the difference may not be very noticeable. If you want a smaller hookah, I'd go with a Mya (QT, bambino, petite...whatever your preference). If you want a larger hookah, I'd say go with a KM and you won't be disappointed.
