wayfarinstranger
I miss living along the Hudson River. My first car, a '93 Ford Probe GT (great handling) with a pair of subs in the back, bumping some Chemical Brothers and DJ Shadow. For that matter I miss when I was first listening to DJ Shadow, getting mad inspired to delve into making sample-based music...I miss those simple revelatory times when I was first getting turned onto Hank Williams Sr., Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Bob Dylan, Creedence, Roy Acuff, Leadbelly, Woodie Guthrie, Pete Seeger, Muddy Waters, Lightnin' Hopkins, Townes Van Zandt, Kris Kristofferson.... :sigh: The Sugarhill Gang.... But really, for all that and a ton more I don't miss where I was as a person in high school and college. You couldn't pay me enough to go back to those confusing times and give up what I've come to understand about myself, God, and the world since those days. But on a lighter note, I miss seeing Bob Saget on television.
