Damn forum buzz. Now I want to try some.

I'm skeptical because it sounds like this stuff is sweeter than SB, and that's what I dislike about SB - the sweetness. We'll see, though. I registered for a wholesale account at SS and still haven't heard back.

I ordered eight flavors last week to test out - The Edge, Kiwi, Potion #9, Baja Blue, Tiger's Blood, Blush, Lime and Mobster. At this point, I've tried The Edge, Baja Blue, Mobster, and Blush. I'll try to get some reviews up soon.

My first impression of this line is, while it's very flavorful and produces epic clouds, it's not for me. My suspicions were correct - this is an EXTREMELY sweet shisha. It makes SB taste almost bitter in comparison. IMO, it's taste is most like that of Fantasia - uber sweet and uber artificial. Now, I'm not knocking that because I know loads of people love that kind of stuff. Just not me. In fact, I couldn't even start a bowl on my own because the chemical taste was so strong.

I spoke with Abrahim last week, and he explained to me what they were trying to accomplish with this line - great smoke and flavor longevity. On both of these features, they succeeded. Although the flavors I've tried so far aren't my favorites, they did last for quite a long time.

The smoke is ridiculous, though. Absolutely no complaints there.

As for the flavors themselves, the mixes are very ambiguous. It's not like Tangiers where, when you smell static starlight, you can smell grape, rose, and lemon. When I smell a tin of SS, all I smell is an intense chemical sweetness. I have a really hard time distinguishing individual flavors in the mixes. Again, this may not matter to anyone else, but I appreciate being able to taste and differentiate flavors in a mix.

Ultimately, I'm a little disappointed in this line. Will it make them a lot of money? Yes. Was it a good business move? Absolutely. But I hoped that this, the product of years of R&D by a respectable company, was going to be something new and unique. IMHO, it's not.

ih303, I have to disagree with you on the chemical account. I would put it no where near the level of Fantasia personally. Yes, the flavors [i've had] are sweet flavors, it smelled more like a limeade or a slushie/snow cone syrup. But everyone will have different impressions of the same thing -- that makes us humans, but I will say thank you for at least trying it and if you dont want it anymore I'll take it off your hands

Fair enough.

I will say I'm fairly sensitive to super sweet and/or artificial tasting flavors - propably moreso than most people. The Fantasia I've had smokes almost waxy and has a very chemical taste to it. I can enjoy a handful of SB flavors, but while they don't have that chemical presence like Fantasia, they're generally too sweet.

From my observations, I think a lot people out there really dig sweet shisha and don't really mind the artificial flavors. This is why brands like SB do so well and why I think SS is going to do well. But from what I've tried, they just don't appeal to my tastes.

damn...i was excited to try this tobacco, but now i have my reservations. if you can't taste the chemical/artificial sweetener tinge every SB flavor seemingly has, yet can taste it in SS....i may be bombarded with it.

but, still...maybe the overkill of sweetness can hide it or something. won't know until i can try it....

I bought seven 100g tins and so far have tried Tiger's Blood and Blush. Got good flavor, really nice smoke.

Instead of purchasing SB, I decided to check this brand out . For the 25% discount, I couldn't beat it.
