K-A-R-P
Okay guys I'm not that new to this phunnel bowl I've had it for a semester now. I've figured out how to pack it so that its easy to take hits off of without the aluminum getting in the way. What I want to know is how do I use this so that when I'm cleaning it out the next day I'm not taking shisha that looks like it hasn't been touched? Is there a special way that I don't know about for poking holes in the foil? If this is already a thread a link would be nice or just let me know that there is one so I can look for it. Zha28
Are you saying you aren't using all your shisha? Try either using less or another set of coals. I do 3 circles going inward even/good amount of holes
rhineholt
Personally, I've never smoked ALL the way through a phunnel. I've gone 5 hours and theres still "juicy" tobacco on the bottom. I wouldn't use it again, but it's still juicy. If youre using tangiers and youre comfortable with reusing tobacco, take out the juicy stuff and mix it back in with the tobacco. Orrrr, you could just try to make more holes all the way to the bottom.

Codename067
Smoke till that bowl is done all the way Or simply, pack less!
Deutsch am Herzen
packing less is a good option. although it seems if you do that, it may not heat right...in theory i mean. better off using a small phunnel in my opinion. its all determined by the amount of people smoking really. solo'd my havanna many times. just took me like 5hrs... NimbleCow
OP: How is it smoking for you? Good smoke/flavor?
twoapplesplease
I'd say more heat...
thatonethere
I'd say use more heat and poke the holes all the way down into the shisha until you reach the bottom of the bowl, and use a little less shisha. I don't pack my phunnel bowl all the way to the top for solo sessions. Sometimes I still get some shisha juice at the bottom. If that bothers you any, then use a different bowl, like an egyptian or something. I hardly break out the phunnel unless I really want a looooong session. I always use my standard bowl that came with my hookah for solos. Good luck with your quest for the perfect phunnel packing method!
skeemin
I found a nice little trick to getting great airflow from my Havana Phunnel bowl. I've had a lot of problems with the foil blocking the hole due to suction so I took a metal large paperclip and bend boths ends at 90 deg. I put it over the hold and no more foil suckage. It also helps with keeping the foil off the tobacco so less torching the tobacco. Hope this helps someone. If you know of a better way please let me know so I can try it. This also works with regular bowls to help keep the tobacco from sticking to the foil.
