Laika
Hi, I just got a hookah and from what I remember it seemed to be extremely easy to draw in a lot of smoke (I used to be able to pull forever). But then the vase broke, and I got a new one and now it doesn't seem to be pulling as well. It actually becomes strenuous to inhale and I can only draw in for about 5 seconds. I just need to know if this could be an issue with the vase (does the vase make this big of a difference?) or does it sound more like there is a leak somewhere? Thanks. smokinshisha4life
the seal may not be the exact same size as what might be needed for your new vase. A diff vase wont make it hit different, it sounds more like the seals or packing too tight. If the seal that fits into the base isnt as tight as in the previous one you could wrap underneath the seal with some duct tape to get a tighter seal. Other than that u may want to get all new seals. DownZero
Is the vase the same model as your previous? If it is the same, make sure the stem is on the vase tightly.... there may be some sort of a leak somewhere. maybe the grommets need to be replaced or something. Laika
The vase is a different size, but i wrapped the seal with electrical tape and it fits snug. But as long as the shape of the vase doesn't make a difference, i know it has to be a leak somewhere. Thanks.
Sonthert
Whats probably happened is that part of the electrical tape has slipped down below the lug. When you put the shank in the vase, and suck through the hose, the tape is sucked up covering the hose port hole. Try replacing the tape so that its higher on the shank, not low enough to interfere with the hose port.
