Af Soft Black

Hey ! Been hanging onto a kg tub of AF soft black. my previous experiences haven't been the greatest so I left it. Now that I'm all out of everything else, I was hoping to get some pointers on how to smoke this.

First, I noticed its much dryer than the other shisha (i believe at one point someone explained that it doesnt contain glycerine).
I usually smoke it in a glass funnel, with about 3 coconaras. I find the smoke very thin, the flavour very good, but it dies out rather quickly. After smoking, this stuff is caked into the funnel, I mean its HARD. I need to remove the stuff with a flat ended screwdriver!

So anyway, what should I do? Mix it with some 'juicier' shisha (like AF apple maybe?). Should I use an egyptian bowl rather than the glass funnel?

Any tips would be appreciated!!

try less heat

or go buy a little bit of glycerine. just a couple of drops can go a long way. use to much of it and you'll end up getting an end product that tastes like smilies( no taste just hella smoke). also i dont know if you have any on hand but a buddy of mine was telling me a tangiers black tea mix with that stuff is really really good. something to try if you got it around.

thanks for the replies. turns out that not using foil greatly enhances the experience. used a big egyptian bowl and 2 CH hookah coals.. buzzzzzzzzed

Yep heard it went good with zag too, but then again my buddy also is a die hard pipe tobacco smoker so he likes the really earthy tones.

AF soft black smokes well for me packed dense like nakhla in a egyptian bowl with one layer of thin foil and plent of heat

AF Soft Black gets medium sized, but not massive thunder clouds. If you aren't getting any clouds at all, you could try a couple of drops of glyercine. I haven't had to do that yet though. I smoke it with a small or mini phunnel and 3 coconara halves with a windcover off and on.

Yea, I havent personally tried it (nor do I ever want to) but ive heard that you should smoke it without foil on the bowl. Also be aware that you could ruin your hookah by using it. Ive heard of some lounges having "dedicated zagoul / soft black" hookah's because the flavor sticks so much.
