neveion
Alright got my shisha set up next to me. It seems though that the molasses are burning black / hard, and sticking to the foil. Solutions? Im using Nakhla tobacco
KeepItSimple
Maybe your packing it so it's touching the foil and then overheating it. Try less heat and see if that helps.

neveion
bump Alright well i took off the foil and there was none sticking to it. I think the problem may just be too much heat. But how do i reduce the heat? I only had a single coal on it? And could it have something to do with the type of molasses im using?

Skoozle
After you finish a bowl, all of your shisha should be black, dry and crunchy hard. How is the smoke? If the smoke is good and not burning your throat or making you cough, then it's OK. If the smoke is harsh, try breaking the coal up as mentioned above and also put the coals as close to the edge of the bowl as possible with out falling off. Venger
mine does the same sometimes. I use 33mm 3 kings. I found if you break them in half and put them on dome side down you can manage the heat better. usually don't have to flip them till the second set of coals. ryno
What kind of bowl are you using? The top layer will always be the first to blacken some, and as the session goes on, the rest of the bowl will start turning black. Best bet is to split the coals in half and put them on opposite sides of the bowl and rotate them as you need to ash them. Do you have any pics of your setup? KeepItSimple
With any shisha you want it packed so that it's smoking good. If for you thats high and touching then by all means pack it like that. I pack mine loose and touching, or tight and with a little room. Just what works for me.

KeepItSimple
Haha, for sure, Nak is weird but I found that it can take a beating. If it's not smoking well I'll just throw another coal on. With the small phunnel I normally go with 3 CH nats, if it's getting too hot i'll just move them to the edge a lil. But now I'm gonna shut up cuz I think I'm jacking this guys thread haha. Chreees
If you're using a small phunnel and CCN coals... http://www.hookahforum.com/topic/33144-nakhla-og-tutorial/ I follow this religiously and get perfect sessions everytime.
