What Are These?

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, I've been looking around for a while for a perfect KM which I can easily get in the UK,
I had a look on hookahshop.co.uk, and saw these two,

One called the Al Juhara, which I can't find on any other vendor website:
http://www.hookahshop.co.uk/al-juhara-the-jewel-by-khalil-mamoon-green-28-inch-p-1567.html

and the other named the World Cup, however, they seem to be selling two 'World Cup' KMs, and it certainly isn't the one other vendors are calling the World Cup:

So, if anyone could just clarify for me what they both are, as I'm a tad confused, and desperately wanting a KM!

Also - is there an official KM website?

Thanks in advance

The first one looks like a KM Fifa, but I'm not absolutely sure. The soccerball in the middle is what makes me think this.

The second one does not look like a World Cup... Here's what a World Cup looks like: http://hookahjohn.co...-Blue-20831.htm

One thing to keep in mind is vendors call the same hookahs different names. There really aren't any specific names for KMs. I've heard about there being an official KM site, but have never seen it.

Thanks,

I dont think the first is a fifa, firstly because I'm pretty sure fifa are taller then 28", and secondly, I dont think that is actually meant to be a soccerball in the middle.

The second one is definitely not a world cup, and after comparing it to a heart of a lion (which I also thought it looked similar to) it is slightly different.. so I'm still puzzled!

Yeah, I didn't literally mean a soccerball.... I'm just saying the Fifa's have the soccerball looking thing in the middle of the stem...

EDIT: Joytron, I think you're right about the second one being a heart of lion chiller...

Chris is right. There aren't "names" for KMs....vendors choose the names themselves. On that site, you'll notice that the commonly named "Amer" is referred to as a "Butterfly". As long as they're legit KMs, the name doesn't really matter imo....

just as arcane said, as long as the KMs themselves are legit, the names are completely irrelevant. a vendor could call one the 'golden poopsicle' if he so pleased. the whole point of them naming them completely arbitrary things is twofold: 1. makes them easier to refer to when you order/if you have any questions regarding certain pieces calling one the 'fifa' 'worldcup' or whatever is much easier than referring to it as "the one with the chiller and the thing in the middle that looks like a football and it has 2 of those double sided insert things on either side" 2. giving things ambiguous names which is different than whatever the next guy calls it makes direct comparison a little more difficult. eg: if i want to buy a 30 gig ipod and everyone calls them "30 gig ipod" then my determining factor will simply be price (assuming no prior experience from one vendor over another), but if i call it one thing and some one else calls it another, then simply googling shit and looking up prices becomes much more difficult because they are being referred to as different things. the same thing is accomplished through private-labeling.
