So I Just Ordered A Medium Phunnel. Do I Have To Pack It All The Way?

I just realized how huge these bowls are. Says 50-60g of shisha can fit in these bad boys. Do I really have to pack it all the way? Is there any downside to not filling it?

Packing it all the way is recommended. You can make a tealight mod seen [url="http://www.hookahforum.com/topic/36250-the-official-how-to-make-a-tealight-mod-thread/page__p__448940__hl__tealight__fromsearch__1&#entry448940"]here[/url] to save some room or you can pack only one side of the bowl.

I highly recommend the tealight mod for a medium phunnel, unless you are ready to smoke for several hours straight..

If you dont pack it all way I would recommend putting a soda tab in the other side to keep the foil from being sucked down onto the hole in the middle of the bowl. Also tealight mods work great

I know this doesn't answer your question per say, but save that bowl for when you have some people hitting on it or you really feel like bunkering down for a few hours, and buy a mini egyptian for now and wait for John to start selling his ultra mini phunnel and buy one to save on shisha. If you already have another bowl for just that then disregard my post haha.

Phunnels need some fort of mod if you arent filling them all the way.

Although I don't use them much I have a few funnel/phunnel bowls lying around and just for Shits and giggles I been trying to mod them in different ways( because IMO shallow wide egyptian bowls are the cats meow) Anyway I came up with a foil poch that worked pretty good that I addapted from a way to make large egyptian bowls shallower that I seen somewheres.....Its gonna take photos to show, so maybee I'll do some later

An underpacked phunnel (ie more than a few millimeters between the foil and the shisha often means a bad boy face twisting buzz

What? How would how much you pack a bowl affect the buzz? Or is this just going over my head..

agreed, you need to mod the phunnel. Dont know why you went with a medium thats pretty big (typically the small is a perfect amount hence why it sells for a little more then the med.) or your going to need to fill it all the way otherwise the aluminum foil will pull down onto the hole when you pull and you will get no draw.
