thatonethere
I ordered something from h-s, and they shipped my package through UPS. All was well until it took a little long for my package to arrive. Today, I gut a knock on my door from some random guy. It turns out that UPS delivered my package to his house . He said he lived a block over and UPS left the package on his doorstep. Now the question is...How the hell do they mix up the street address? It clearly stated where it was supposed to go. The trick was that he has the same house number I have, but he lives on a different street. The street names are not even close to being alike (well maybe the letter Y at the end, but that's about it). Either somebody is illiterate, or they were in a hurry to get rid of the package. Either way, it makes no sense. I've never had a problem with UPS before, but since I've heard stories, then I guess I won't be ordering from someone who uses UPS as a carrier. But that's ok. The only reason I ordered something from that site was because hj didn't have it on his site. It would have been a lot cheaper to order from hj in the first place, and I would have received my order very, very quickly (2 days from placing the order online to receiving. Can't beat that!). That is all...
ashes87
Yea, Ive heard the different horror stories everyone has had with UPS on here, but at my house, we have never had a problem with them *knock on wood* I think the reasons Im so lucky is that 1, I live outside of the city so if they misplace my package, I will not hesitate to raise hell and 2, the guy that runs the route I live on has become really good friends with dad due to the fact he has an FFL and is a licensed gun salesman, and our UPS likes guns. I dont have a problem with UPS currently, but if I ever were to, everyone on here would hear the nuclear bomb going off.
Stuie
Have has some issues with every carrier. But UPS seems to be the better of one for me. Looks like you got the High School Dropout driving your route.
KeepItSimple
This is my worst fear with ordering something online. That it will get lost or something bad is going to happen to it. Thats why I'm happy I live so close to John, not only is my order here before 11am the day after I order it, but it only gets on one truck after it gets picked up from him and dropped off wherever they take it for the night. I've had this happen with my regular mail carrier also. She keeps giving me the next door neighbor's mail, or mail for the guy who lives up one block from me. I'm beginning to think that the public school system in this state is what really sucks ass, not the carriers. hookah hippie
Dude I ordered from John a little while ago (actually had a post about this before) I live an hour give or take from John in sunny CA. FedEx usually delivers to me the day after ordering. Instead of the package heading south to me it headed north. About 6 days later I got a phone call from a lady in Seattle saying she had my package. Long story short my package showed up about 8 or 9 days after it was supposed to it was ridiculous. thatonethere
I remember reading your post hookah hippie. I guess every so often something happens with an online order. I guess if you order online enough, something is bound to happen. But hey, at least it wasn't the supplier's fault.

FiveSpeedF150
Our neighborhood UPS driver is the shit... always gets our stuff there, friendly guy. Reliable. Of course, now I'm relying on the military postal system.. Priority Mail only... but I haven't had horrible luck there either. Rani
It's all about the delivery drivers in my experience. In my neighborhood, the UPS guy couldn't find his ass with both hands. And I'm pretty sure he takes packages out into an empty parking structure and runs over them a few times before he tries to deliver them days late. The Fed-Ex guy on the other hand rocks. So I tend to order only from those places that ship Fed-Ex. Just one less issue I have to deal with. 'Rani
PSU Smoker
ive never personally had a problem. Only thing that ever made me mad was when the UPS guy left my computer on my front steps while i was in school all day. Luckly not many people drive to the back part of my neighborhood so it was still there when i got home. Not to mention it was supposed to rain that day and did a hour or so i after i got home
