Hookah Near Northbrook, Il (Chicago Suburbs)?

Recommended Posts

Hey... I'm in town for an internship interview that takes place tomorrow in Northbrook, IL and wouldn't mind going to a hookah lounge. Any of you in the Chicago area have any recommendations?

http://www.hookahforum.com/topic/35904-samah-lounge/ This is the best place I have been. If have to make a reservation for the place though. On the weekend it is an hour and a half. So you only get about an hour of smoke time. On the week days you get a two hour time slot. Hubble hookah is a resturant that carries only SB. Good food though. I didn't get a chance to check out any of the other ones this trip. Maybe next time. Where ever you end up, please place a review in the hookah lounge section to help out future members.

I really wouldn't recommend Samah's.
If you don't smoke hookah a lot, I'd say it's okay.
But if you do, don't bother.
Head over to House of Hookah which is like, 3 blocks away.
The place is smaller but the people are so much nicer and they know what they're doing. Call beforehand to see if it's busy. If you're going with a group of 4 or more, you can make reservations. I'm there a lot, so let me know if you're going.

Hubble Hookah has amazing food. Definately try the hummus if you go there.
The hookah's are good too, all Starbuzz I think. Still good.

If you HAVE to go to Samah's, don't get anythign Tangiers. They messed it up for me so bad.

I had nothing but an amazing experience at samah. I haven't tried house of hookah yet, I will try that next time. Hubble hookah was good, but I didn't like the fact that the only selection was SB. Plus I just prefer samah because of the overall setting of the place. It made me feel like I was back in the middle east smoking hookah again. Just my two cents.

House is worth it.
samahs... well, it has potential. I loved the place. But that was it. Only the place. The setup was really nice and all, but the hookahs... They were far from good.
All the flavors we tried tasted like soap.
And it's pretty expensive.

I ended up going to the Argila Hookah Lounge in Morton Grove. It used to be a Dhuwan location, thats what Google Maps said it was. It was a real chill place, had a couple tvs on with family guy, and there were only a few other people there. They served Layalina, Golden Layalina, Starbuzz and had a bunch of house blends. They used MYA hookahs, and brought the tongs with the hookah to you so you can tend it on your own. Timely on charcoal replacement as well, they used some knock-off 3 kings style coals. Not a bad place for a hookah lounge, very relaxed.
