Does Time Seem To Slow Down When Smoking?

Recommended Posts

It seems to go by slower, until I realize how much time has really passed. Also loved smoking hookah while writing programs or papers, keeps me relaxed alot more.

For me, I find that the more people present [smoking with me], the faster time goes, and the less people present, the slower the time goes.

The more you talk and socialize, the faster time goes.

This! I completely agree. I was smoking by myself today and 10 minutes seemed like a half hour. When I'm at the hookah bar with my friends, time absolutely flies.

When I smoke its usually with a few friends... time does seem to go by at a slower pace, but in reality it is flying when I look at the clock. Hookah is great for relaxation! My friends though seem to rush the sesh a little. as soon as I get relaxed they want to do something else.

Time does seem to slow down if i'm smoking something tasty. Recently i've been stuck on Fantasia Ace of Spades. when i smoked that the other night it felt like half an hour but was closer to 3 hours

For me it depends. If I have something important to do afterwards, then time goes by really fast. It usually goes by slower when I don't have anything to do afterwards. I guess that urgency to get things done makes me more anxious and aware of the time (which is why don't smoke often when I have something to do later).

When I smoke, my new time zone I run on is FGT (Family Guy Time). I own a season on DVD, and obiouvsly every episode is about half and hour to 20 minutes. So If I make it though 2 or three discs with about 10 episodes on each while constantly smoking, I know it's time to put it up. Haha.
