Rate My Hookah Related Purchase

Recommended Posts

Okay so my hookah pipe got destroyed at a party so I ordered a new one along with these other things.

Here is the hookah that i ordered http://www.hookahcompany.com/aquarius_temsaah_hookah_4368_prd1.htm

Then I got a long turquoise nammor hose. I have a black one right now but its starting to fall apart

I also got 250 g of AF Vanilla (my all time favorite flavor because of its simplicity and i generally know that everyone I will smoke with will like it)
250 g of AF mint. Never had it before but everyone has been bitching at me for not trying it
50 g of AF honey (sounded good)
50 g of AF apricot
50 g of AF guava
50 g of AF coconut (i've had this before and the first bowl was amazing, the second bowl was shitty so i didn't want to get a lot of this)

In my collection i still have starbuzz peaches and cream, citrus myst, x on the beach and white peach, AF vanilla, orange and watermelon, And tangiers orange soda (only enough for one bowl) and passion fruit

I have a small phunnel bowl which I don't use too often because of how much shisha it requires and a small egyptian bowl which is perfect for smoking with 2 people.

Have a mix between coconara coals and 3 kings depending on how lazy i am.

why all the hate on AF? then again i havent tried Nak yet so maybe my veiws will change next week with some sweet melon

Idk. I was going to get some nak but then after some research, it seemed that minus juicy peach and sweet melon, Al fauker has better shisha.

Was also going to get some tangiers juicy peach but too many people bitch about tangiers if they haven't smoked a lot of hookah

Red Dye gives me headaches. It's a common allergy. A lot of people avoid red dye.

It's all so artificial, much too juicy, and generally makes me feel sick. (Plus the flavours taste nothing like what they say they are)
Nak Mizo FTW.
Looking forward to try tang, hurry up USPS!

Looks like a nice purchase, congrats. That hookah looks great. I don't think anyone on the forum has it either (correct me if I'm wrong)...
If you like smoking AF and it appeals to you, go for it and don't listen to these jokers. Smoke what you like, but I'd recommend venturing out and at least trying some other shisha sometime. You never know, you could find something that blows AF out of the water, or find out that AF is your fave. Just my $.02

We sold an Aquarius at the lounge once. Great looking hookah.

I took a survey here a while back on the top brands of shisha. On top was Tangiers followed by Nakhla, Al Fakher, Starbuzz, and Romman in that order.

AF is a solid tobacco. They may not have all the crazy names and mixes like some of the other brands, but when it comes to mixing, there's nothing better. I will say it is on the juicy side and sometimes you'll find the cut to be way too fine. But none of that really matters if you have a phunnel bowl. Since it is so juicy, the flavor goes and goes. AF outsmokes every brand I've tried with the exception of Tangiers. It's smoke is thick and luxurious, it takes relatively little heat, and it has a pretty large sweet spot.

I really don't know what people have against AF, honestly. Sure, if you're allergic to an ingredient, I understand. But most people aren't. I'd venture to say it probably has something to do with the fact that AF just doesn't market like some of these other companies. I think when a lot of folks see a white plastic bucket that says "orange" next to a shiny aluminum tin that says "orange freckled velvet kama sutra midnight blush" and plays a tune when you open it and comes with a free bag of boston baked beans, they forget the flavor and go with the flash.

Just my opinion, though. The way I see it, the numbers speak for themselves. Both in forum polls, and worldwide popularity.
