Cool Places You Smoke?

Recommended Posts

So like the title say. Tell us some awesome places you have found that you like to smoke at. How did you find them? What makes them special? Are they easy to get to?

My favorite is a place called The Cabin. Now, I live in a small town named Sequim. Just goggle map it and you'll see. I live in the middle of the woods and have a state park for my back yard. So my friend mackenzie and I decided to go hiking one day. I took my hookah cause I had a feeling we would find some place awesome and we did! It stretches over the dugenous river. You have to cross this rickety old bridge 15 ft in the air and you find this old cabin. There is a note inside that says something along the lines of "This cabin has been in our family since 1924. We live close by now. You are welcome to it, just don't vandalize. Remember things like DNA on ciggarette butts help." The cabin is hooked up with electricity so it has lights, it also has running water, but the water is turned off at the time. However, my friend Andrew and I are pretty sure that we found the thing that turns the water on. Anyways, before you cross the bridge there is this huge clearing, totally flat. It has 3 picnick benches, a giant firepit, a basket ball hoop (but there is no pavement to dribble on), a horseshoe tossing area, two shooting ranges, an outhouse, and a secluded sand beach that you have to hike through the forest to get to and the water is pretty calm and deep. The river is so beautiful, it forks and then comes together in to one river just before the bridge. They have cleared the trees so there is still shade but the sunlight still shows through and glints on the river. There are also multiple trails and pathes to hike. I'll post pics when I get them.

Anyways thats my palce. So what's yours? Do you share with friends or is it a secret place all to yourself.

I found a place one time in a small woods nearby. There's a nice little stream that flows there and there's one part that has a rock big enough for a chair, and one right next to it that is perfect to set the hookah on... Smoking in the middle of the stream, very relaxing.

I have two favorite places.

First, was my old apartments raquetball room years ago.I was 16, and it wasn't used by anyone in that whole complex except me. Lol. Thats where I took my laptop, and figured out what I was doing with my first hookah. Reallyyy sentimental in a messed up kinda way.

Second, is my home now. If I'm feeling a little reflective that night, I clime out onto my roof. Completely flat, but it has this indentation, I suppose for electrical work? Anyways, It's a perfect shelf to place my pipe so It doesnt fall off. Great view of the city, especially now with this great spring weather.

Chill!! Sounds like awesome places. Yeah ryno I agree smoking in the middle of the stream or in the woods is amazing.

I'm a newbie when it somes to tobacco (except cigars but theres no buzz from those) so I still get a buzz and just the bright sunlight, intensly green trees, and gurgling rushing river. Ahhhh so amazing.

I have this mound of really lush grass in my backyard. I'm not very close to any other houses, plus there is 7-8 foot prairie grass surrounding it, so it's pretty isolated. To make it even better, it's only 150 feet from my patio where the grill is, so on a nice calm summer evening I can lay out a blanket, grill some food, and light my coals at the same time, and then walk out and have a picnic + a bowl with some friends.

hmmmm... I haven't done anything too exotic. We had a gazebo in our back yard that I laced with blue rope lights and had this real bitchin rustic chandalier with a blue bulb in it. In the corner we had a tri-level water fall that had LEDs in it and it also would fog. Had a fire pit in the middle so it would be warm. That was my favorite spot.

Sitting on the bank of the Comal river was one of my favorite smoking spots, just found a shallow spot away from the crowds, sat on the bank with my feet in the water and puffed away. Very relaxing.

By the way dave, you might want to edit out the nht device you mentioned in your post.

I realized once I posted that it was a no-no. I can't see how to edit. If a moderator would be cool enough to snip it out for me I would appreciate it. Speaking of which (and not getting off the thread topic), how do you edit your posts, once they're made?

You can only edit a post a few minutes after you posted it.
Once that time is up, you can't edit it anymore.

I hate sunday nights.

Anyways. I forgot to add to the list, a winter night we opened up the hottub, and brought out a glass stand. Hookah during winter in a jacuzzi is hella awesome.

Since i live on a college campus the easiest place to smoke is in the middle of the quad surrounded by trees. Whenever i'm feeling frisky i get a few friends and drive about 20 minutes to a place called TwoLick Creek. Day is alright but right around sunset it perfect and later on in the night. we go out the end of the docks n lay around n smoke for a while. really peaceful. I'll try to get some good pics once it warms up.

I found a concrete pad near my hooch that offers a great view of the city. I prep my hookah in my hooch and then take it outside and relax watching the Iraqi sky and night and the distant city lights.

The small beach down at the local pond on Cape Cod at night. You get a beautiful reflective moon over the water, soft sound of very small waves splashing on the shoreline, little to not breeze because the trees around the entrance keep it guarded. Its very quiet, serene almost. Perfect for both alone or with people.

The quad at my school, fineout as well can vouch for this, its a great social atmosphere, you'll light the hookah up and walker-byres will come by and take a puff, hang a bit, etc. Great social atmosphere for hookah.

Screened in porch at my buddy on cape cods house, overlooks the ocean from a cliff above, firepit outside, etc.
