Who Has A Turkish Cast Iron Hookah?

Recommended Posts

I was looking around the web when i ran into the turkish hookahs. They seem to be well-built, quality might be around KM's.
I'm curious if anyone has one, cuz its cheaper than a KM, and if it is as good as a Km then this is a must-buy one.
What do ya think?

I guess you just have to trust you're a hookah master and don't get harsh smoke.

it would probably take some getting used to. I have a friend who prefers harsh smoke so if you don't mind it occasionally go for it probably

yeah as long as you dont make the smoke harsh you are fine....if you do just suck it up and take a few harsh hits until you are in the clear (this is where friends you dont like that much come in handy). Personally I like my smoke the slightest bit harsh.

I love the Turkish style Nargiles, and have a few in my personal collection. I had a few shipped to me as samples over the years and they rarely have check valves. That models is super heavy the mold lines where the casts come together are large "not very attractive". The head config is Syrian requires a male bowl hard to find a good bowl in male. The hoses look good but are not air tight, they pull like a barn door, the handles are long and ornate. The prices are more than KM over there and are just not the same in function. That tray looks like a Chinese replacement, if I got were to get one I'd want a brass etched design that matched the pattern on the stem. Just my 2cents.

i havent been here in a little while and i see tons of new faces. wicked!

anyway, i got an elmas nargile early this year and i have pics of it. smokes like a champ with my narbish v3 (not very good with the original turkish hose due to the small hole in the mouthpiece)
the thread is here: http://www.hookahforum.com/topic/35854-it-has-finally-arrived/

edit: i wish i could get a small male phunnel by tangiers for this thing. i would pay $40-50 for it. eric? :P Edited by chinamon
