Ok so if you read my thread about My first hookah and other questions you'll read the story of how it broke and all. Anyways, when I finally got around to taking it to the shop that was about 2 weeks ago. Now I work in retail myself, so I know firsthand that if a customer comes up to me being all bitchy and blaming me for something, I WILL make the returns process as long and drawn out as possible. Anyways, so I'm always on my best behavior because I have walked a mile in their shoes and know how much it sucks.

Ok So my hookah broke, it was a couple of weeks after i bought it so i didn't have the receipt anymore. I took it back to the store on the off chance they MIGHT replace it for me (I didn't expect them to but I didn't think it would hurt). I was lucky and they would take it back and get me the same one for no extra cost, turns out the lady remembered me because that hookah had been on her shelf a long time and I finally bought it. So yeah she took it and said she would email the warehouse she gets them from in Portland and he would ship it up with a few others to her. So they get up to her about a week or so later. Turn out the guy didn't even send her a QT and instead a complete piece of crap she wouldn't even show to me cause she didn't sell shit like that in her store. Ok good for her that she actually has standards and pride in her store this is something I want in the person I will most likely buy alot of my hookah things from, the thing is I had to call them to find this out. They didn't call me or anything to let me know it would be another week. Also, the fact that her guy in portland who supposedly has a warehouse of hookahs and is very knowledgable of them didn't know what a QT was. That kind of frightens me. Should it?

So another week pasts and it is the 22nd. I call them at around 3pm and ask if it is in. Apparently they got a shipment of shisha, accesories, and other hookahs but not my hookah. Once again, I had to call to find this out. So they are calling UPS or FedEX and finding out what happened, what they found out was there were multiple boxes and that box that had my hookah and others in it got lost in the mail. So they said they are ordering yet another for me. It should come next monday. The day my AF shisha shipment should come in from SS. So it will have been 3 weeks.

So my questions are; Is it alright that I have to call them to find out all this info, or am I just being kinda snobby?
Also, should I ever order another shipment through them, cause if their guy in portland doesn't know what a QT is will he know other thing?


I do keep a civil tone and have never raised my voice or glared or sworn at them. I get that shit happens but shouldn't they be upfront about it?

I don't think you should order from them anymore. This is a fucking mess and THEY should do their best to keep you as a customer, not keep you out of the loop on whats going on with your order. I'd tell them to suck it and I'd take my business elsewhere.

It sounds like they are giving you the run around, and sold you a fake Mya. Good customer service requires honesty, and putting fourth a real effort to get a situation with a client resolved. I'd hate to sound like an advertisement, but if I were you, I would just get one through Hookahjohn.com. He has a package deal where you get the MyaQT, some coals and three 50g packages of Nakhla shisha for around $56.00. Or, if you still have the stem and bowl, get a base from him. I've had bad service from many a smoke shop, so I do my shopping almost exclusively online.

I'm sure whatever you decide to do , it'll be for the better.
