bellydancerakn
Ok, so from the many threads I have started about my first hookah and the replies I have read, I have come to the conclusion that my hookah was a knockoff QT . Great just lovely. Damnit... Anyways, so I want to wait for it to come into the store. If it comes in and looks like a QT is supposed to I'll take it home and find a way to post pics and have you guys verify that it is real. But if it doesn't look like a QT or you guys say it is a fake, how do I get my money back? Cause basically I'm accusing her of selling me a knockoff, which no vendor would take kindly. Also keep in mind, hookah is not her main business. Her main business is NHT devices and clothes and costumes and the like. Hookah is just a little side thing. So how would I go about getting my 60 bucks back.
fineout
well it depends, if she was advertising it as a real mya then you just tell her shes falsely advertising it, if its advertised as a small 17" hookah then theres nothing you can do.
mitchard
Yeah, what he said. Unless she straight up told you it was a genuine Mya, then you are out of luck as far as getting the cash based on the pipe being a knockoff. I (and I assume a huge percentage of the people here) bought some lame chinese hookah from a smoke shop. It happens. I too spent about $60-70 bucks on my first hookah, which was a total ripoff looking back on it. But hey, I guess its just a price you pay to get in the swing of things, unless you are lucky enough to stumble on a place like this before you make your first purchase. Arcane
ummm...just ask? like people have said, if she said she was selling you a Mya and it turns out to be fake...pick out 3-4 telltales signs that it's a fake and point them out to her.
Codename067
As mentioned, as long as it mentioned that you were buying a real MYA, then you can definitely get a refund, if not, then you might have no option but to keep it. Good luck.
bellydancerakn
Well. Maybe Ie'll just take it, cause she never actually said it was a mya. Frankly, I don't think she knows what she is talking about when it comes to hookah. Anyways, maybe I'll just keeps it. If it doesn't break there is no harm. Cause it was actually a GREAT hookah before it broke. Always produced great big clouds and it was easy to clean and store. Also easy heat managment. So if it doesn't break I'll just keep it probably. Now if it breaks again... Do you think they'll give me my money back? I'll get her to write a note saying how I exchanged it and when and all that and I'll be sure to tape it to the box this time. P.S. I'll try to get her to tell me what brand it is and have her write it on the note.

It was very gracious of her to give you another one even though you didn't have a receipt (an outstanding move on her part). However, I bet if it breaks again, she wouldn't give you your money back. If I were in that type of situation and it breaks again, I'd just stop shopping there simply because she gave the run around in the beginning. Now if she told the truth about the people in the warehouse sending the wrong one, then I'd continue to shop there. I'm all for supporting local businesses. I'm just kind of getting fed up is all.
thatonethere
I understand. It is hard to find a good hookah shop these days. But if you plan on getting another hookah, go online. If the accessories are good at your local spot then by all means go for it. May all your smoke sessions be epic! I do almost all of my hookah shopping online. Yeags777
I would never buy a hookah from some 'shop'. You need to hit up John for good quality products.

"NO REFUNDS". i had changed my mind about one of the flavors and came back the next day to return it. i asked, and the guy said he'd make an exception for me. just goes to show...sometimes, you just gotta ask... Chreees
I'd just ask... Tell her you were looking for a genuine Mya QT. Way to tell it's a Mya.... It'll have "Mya" etched into the tray and the stem. On the stem it's hard to see, so look closely.
