Ruffun
I recently acquired one of these, and i was wondering how i can get the best possible use out of it. Possibly how best to fill the vase of it, and what with. Thanks
SuburbanSmoker
Best way to use it is to fill it up with water and throw it off a cliff. If its all you have to smoke out of, the water line needs to be just at the down stem. In my experience they really dont smoke well whatso ever, but can be managed with a small bowl, low heat, and little water.

Ruffun
Ah i know it's terrible but i'm on a tight budget and i just wanted one that i could take to others houses in a bag (I can't afford a car). I heard that putting milk or juice into the water has some effect? i have never tried this but it would be great to know if it has any noticable effect? Your best bet is water.
mitchard
People say that using flavored liquids works, but it has never done anything for me. Personally, I think its 99% placebo. Milk is a bad idea in a tiny pipe like that. It'll be easy to get it in the hoses, and after that it'll mold BAD.
SuburbanSmoker
the problem with the pumpkin is how little the base is. if you use anything creamy or carbonated it will bubble up into the hose/stem and just make a god awful mess that no one wants to mess with. stick to luke warm water, play with the level. trial and error is your best friend to developing your own style and what works for you. in a bigger hookah milk can add a smoothness to the smoke, but not by itself. ive also heard 1 part milk tea 3 parts water makes for a great compliment to any heavy or bold flavor. srawas89
[color=#5D5D5D][font=tahoma, arial, verdana, sans-serif][size=2]As far as using your pumpkin hookah you can get some good sessions out of it, it just takes a bit more effort. When I smoked out of my friends pumpking you can use that much water, it is quite easy to over fill and get water into your hose. I say at most the stem should be 0.5in in the water. Also it is very easy to burn the tobacco in the bowl as it is small and takes little heat to get it going. I was using a 33mm quick light and I had to let the coal hang over the edge of the bowl a bit otherwise I burnt the shisha. So if you do that you should be fine. Hope that helps. nars2k
Water level: should be a tiny bit higher than the bottom of the downstem, about a centimeter for pumpkins DO NOT put milk in the base. It will rise up into the hose and create many problems as others have stated. If you are set on putting something else besides water, you could use different juices and experiment.
