c4r80n
Ok so we drove half an hour to get to this place where my friends have gone before. It's nice, and we got 4 hookahs. it's about 14 dollars for a hookah (all 1 hose) and you're allowed 2 people to hookah. Unlimited coals until your bowl ran out. I'm not sure what coals they used, but they were square almost. Tasted fine, no coal taste. They used fumari brand tobacco but charged 2 bucks more a hookah for the "exotic" flavors. If you wanted to add another person to a hookah it's 5 bucks.Nice atmosphere and everything, but the couches could have been a bit more comfortable. Now here's the problem. The owner came out 3 minutes after we sat and demanded all our IDs in a pissed off tone. He said he smelled pot and told us he'd call the cops and kick us out if we put weed on top. And said I've got you on camera and all your IDs we're recorded (hah). We assured him nothing was going to be smoked other than tobacco.Think nothing more of it and continue to smoke. He comes back a few minutes later saying he saw us put weed on one of the bowls and he has proof from the video camera. He was yelling. This set a bad mood to some people and we're arguing back. We had to tell him a million times there was no pot on us and we're just trying to smoke peacfully. On his side: pot can ruin his business, but should he really call us guilty and have to prove him that we're innocent?Turns out, two people in our group of 8 HAD smoked before hand. (greeeeaat) So he was justified, but still, we didn't do anything he said he "saw".After that, we had a good time, but we won't come back. One of my friends tried to talk to him and say sorry about the confusion and he ignored him and walked away.-----I'd go back again though. Oh and Fumari mango and house blend is good. Not so much lemon mint, and not raspberry.

Sonthert
The problem is mango flavor often smells like weed...only an ignorant owner wouldn't know that. The mercaptan oxidizes into a keto-group, very marijunish, maybe hash like. I tried making a hash flavor, and mango was one of the centerpieces, since I can't get it to smoke worth a crap. Tell him he's full of sh*t and to lay off you or I'll personally come out there and give him a couple of left and right opinions to the face. Buford
Yeah, mango smoke really does smell like weed, or at least Nakhla's does, but it's not as noticible if you're actually smoking it for some reason. (It's more noticible if someone else is smoking it and you smell the smoke.)On a side note, mango is in the same plant family as poison ivy. NorthEastSmoker
A story like this is the main reason I have no desire to go to a hookah bar/lounge. I don't think it would be nearly as relaxing of an atmosphere as it is when I smoke with friends at one of our houses.
The Dude Abides
A story like this is the main reason I have no desire to go to a hookah bar/lounge. I don't think it would be nearly as relaxing of an atmosphere as it is when I smoke with friends at one of our houses.
Not to worry. Most hookah bars don't involve the owners running around on tirades yelling at customers. When I have a nice night out with my gf there's nothing better than heading over to a really mellow hookah lounge to top off the night. Beats the hell out of heading home and sitting in the same old room, on the same old couch, watching south park reruns or playing xbox while haphazardly smoking. Lounges are fun. It's nice to be served. And I've never heard of anything like that (first post) happening before. Usually there are other cool cats sittin around whom you can chat with if you want to. All-around great experience. And try some mint tea while you're at it.
EliteHookah.com
That's just terrible customer service. I would have demanded a refund the first time he yelled at me and left. I think you got a bad apple, don't give up on hookah bars altogether.

It's just good to be out of the house.. and hookah lounges are those perfect places to go because they usually close very late and smoking shisha is just a relaxing thing to do in general. Lakemonster
I would never cross that bars threshold again. Who needs that? If you are innocent...... you dont deserve that treatment. You went to relax and chill.. and thats what you get for your money?
