Should I Order John'S Alien Mini Phunnel Bowl?

My tangiers phunnel broke and i unknowingly ordered myself a small chinese phunnel bowl a while back, but didn't like how big it was and how it smoked so i've been using my standard clay hookah bowl that came with my free mya from hookah-shisha.

So I just got a brand new hookah and went on a spending spree

Should I get a small tangiers which are running at like 15 dollars, a vortex bowl which would be around 10 dollars or alien for 19 dollars.

The only problem is that while the small tangiers holds too much, I feel like the alien would hold too little? Am i wrong to assume this? Would I be able to get an hour worth of smoking with 3 people out of the alien?

I feel like the vortex would hold the perfect amount of shisha.

Any suggestions? What should I get

I smoked 4 alien mini phunnels today and each session had three people smoking and lasted about 2hours if that helps you out...I love it do death

the alien phunnel seems to fit a specific niche in the hookah market. if after most sessions with a small phunnel, you end up throwing away unsmoked tobacco and don't relight the bowl....the alien phunnel is a good purchase.

if you don't mind throwing away unsmoked tobacco or you consistently cash out your small phunnel....the alien phunnel might not be a good purchase.

then again, if you just want to buy the alien "just because"...that's a good reason too!

Well Go for authentic tangiers (vortex sucks from what I hear), as far as the alien goes....I'm never in a rush while smoking so I wonder If it is worth having such a small bowl. I'll wait for the reviews.

I really just hate the size of the phunnel bowl. I mean, I have that stupid chinese one, I don't know if the tangiers one is any smaller, but I can fit like 50 grams of shisha in it easily, and I hate using that much. So i usually end up under packing so i can try to save shisha and then i get a bad smoke session.

And to the first poster. Does that mean each bowl lasted 30 minutes? Or each bowl lasted 2 hours?

I would assume each lasted two hours.

You cant go wrong with a small. If its still to big, you can make a tealight mod something to cut back on tobacco used. The amount of tobacco used really depends on which brand you are using, but even for stuff thats cut finer (like AF), I dont use close to 50g in it. Maybe 30 max.

I have a vortex and have NEVER had a problem with it. Not too big and I don't have any pull issues. I did make sure when I bought it it had all 4 holes opened and the holes are very close to the top of the center post. Honestly don't understand the hate. I'm just saying.

Either get the Alien or the Tang phunnel bowl.
I have a vortex. It's alright... I finally got it smoking last night.
If you want a vortex, go for it.

The legit tangiers small phunnel is smaller than the chinese ones from the ones I've seen. I think when I had my small one they would hold like 25g of shisha in them?

This is just what I need simply so I can reduce my shisha consumption. With the small Tangiers, almost always,I'll end up with unused shisha. Plus I'm looking to get the same milage out of my smoke session with the Tangiers funnel but with a lot less shisha. With all of the money I spend on shisha, I don't want to waste any (I'm cheap like that), and I don't want to be stuck smoking zombie bowls (yuck). It looks like this would be a good investment for me.

Looks like I have an order to make (and I just received an order from him last Saturday, lol).

To the OP, I'd probably go with an alien. I know my tangiers phunnel doesn't get a ton of use because I don't usually save the shisha or relight it, but don't like to waste it either. I'll usually only load up the phunnel if I'm having a long session, like 4+ hrs.

If you find one, that'd probably work great too. I've personally never used a scalli mod in my phunnel, so I'm not quite sure how much shisha it saves you. I'm sure someone else can chime in here...

avoid the chinese phunnels at all costs...talk about inefficient for heat and shisha.

I loved my small. Broke it drunk in 2 weeks But, I could still smoke that sucker for 4 hours (never tried it longer).

I do have a propensity for wanting to change flavors (and so do friends when over), so I'll probably try the Alien. 2-3 rounds seems perfect to me

But, because of the shitty v1 Narbish, I want to see how the quality reviews come out.

An alien with three people will go 1 1/2 hours tops with good quality, flavorful smoke, two rounds of coals tops then the shisha is spent. A small twice that. Alone you can go longer.

Yes you should try this bowl he made it for quick smokes so its going longer than he anticipated but you can underpack it a bit and go less time but it comes down to two rounds of coals so not much shorter and you are not using up coals

Well, as true as it is that the Alien uses less shisha, my Tangiers mini and small phunnels smoke better in the ways of cloudage and flavor...

I think I'm the only one who's not all that crazy about the new Alien...
