How Much Does The Bowl Change The Smoke?

Recommended Posts

Ordered a couple of new hookahs and the depth on the new bowls is huge compared to my older bowl. I smoke just about every night and want something that only lasts maybe half an hour, and use only one coal. With the new bowls it seems I am using only half of the bowl. I tried using the old bowl and ended up using the old and new grommet to fit my new MYA.
So while I am ok with using my old bowl, I see all of the new types of bowls. Is there a bowl made for shorter smokes? and if so would it be best suited to use a smaller coal (using three kings now)? Was thinking that one of the Coco naras would be best suited for a small bowl setup. While I type this I guess what I am asking is this a good idea or should I just deal with the left over and move on.

Depending on the tobacco that you're smoking, you can re-use a half-spent bowl. I do it with Nakhla all the time, but it doesn't really work for me with Tangiers. Just take out the used shisha, throw some fresh stuff on top, and you're good to go!
